Mayville EMS To Pick Up And Deliver Groceries For Residents
In an effort to encourage social distancing, the City of Mayville Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will be running a program to pick up and deliver essential groceries for Mayville residents.
The announcement was made on the EMS Facebook page.
“We have a short order form that AEMTs Harland or Cole will fill out when you call them,” stated the post. “We will have a volunteer from EMS collect your cash or a check, then go to Mayville Piggly Wiggly and retrieve the items ordered, and then deliver them to your house with a receipt.”
The program is designed only for essential food items.
All volunteers picking up and delivering the groceries will have their temperatures checked prior to running to the store. Mayville EMS also stated that the volunteers will be wearing official Mayville EMS gear to prevent the potential for fraud.
Shopping hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., depending on the number of volunteers.
Call Harland at 920-904-1997 or Cole at 920-219-0224 to schedule a delivery.
