Thomas Kuhnke
Thomas Kuhnke, 67, of Centerton, Arkansas, formerly of Campbellsport, Wisconsin passed away at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Arkansas on September 8, 2020 due to complications of a stroke.
Thomas was born on September 28, 1952 to Elmer and Gertrude (Froemming) Kuhnke in West Allis, Wisconsin. After graduating from Nathan Hale High School, he enlisted in the Army reserve in 1972. Tom had a great love for the outdoors, especially ‘up north’ Wisconsin. His childhood family vacations were spent on Crystal Lake, Michigan. He later passed on his love and passion for the outdoors to his family. It was a family joke, that any of us that went fishing with him were stuck on the lake for what he promised would be “one more cast.” We all knew it was not one more cast, yet possibly another hour waiting for that perfect catch. Friends and family of Tom will remember him for his dry sense of humor.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Gertrude Kuhnke, and his daughter Shelly Kuhnke.
He is survived by his wif, Jennie Redman Kuhnke of Centerton, Arkansas; ex-wife Joy Kuhnke of West Bend, Wisconsin; daughter Becky (Kuhnke) May and husband Steve May of Campbellsport, Wisconsin; daughter Jessica Carter of Jackson, Wisconsin; daughter Taylor Kuhnke of Centerton, Arkansas, son Matthew Kuhnke of Centerton, Arkansas; grandsons Seth May and Hayden May of Campbellsport, Wisconsin; grandson Nathan Chilson of Jackson, Wisconsin; granddaughter Savannah Crass of Jackson, Wisconsin.
