The Crib Remains

Midnight Mass in St. Kilian: the crib in the corner, ‘Silent Night’ by the choir, and children nodding off, somewhat like the angel that collects coins near the nativity, but for different reasons. These are collective memories of many from those Catholic along the line of Ashford and Wayne townships as they made the late night Christmas Eve trek to a packed
