Ruth V. Burmeister

Ruth V. Burmeister (nee Hodorff), 88, of Fond du Lac, passed away on December 31, 2020 at her son’s home in Montello.
She was born on March 13, 1932 in the Town of Osceola, the daughter of the late John and Esther Hodorff (nee Dennert). On January 30, 1951, she married Lester “Bud” Burmeister at Salem Ev. Church in Fond du Lac. Ruth and Bud were farmers in the Town of Eden and she also worked as a CNA for Wild Rose Nursing Home and Home Healthcare. Ruth was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, and reading. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She will be missed by her children, John (Bonnie) Burmeister of Eden, Jeanne Hodorff of Port Washington, Steven (Carol) Burmeister of Montello, and Joann (Dennis) Bodden of Campbellsport; grandchildren, Jeremy (Kim) Burmeister, Jeffrey (Jessica) Burmeister, Jason (Melissa) Landrath, Chad (Michele) Burmeister, Jacob (Shana) Hodorff, April (Jason) Burmeister, and Steven Jr. (Rachele) Burmeister; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Autumn Landrath, Madison Hodorff, Logan Burmeister, Aubrey Burmeister, and Kennedi Burmeister; special friends, Michael Schill, Debbie and Bob Lunda, and Regis Westphal. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bud, and siblings, Lydia Germanotta, Merlin Hodorff, Earl Hodorff, Hubert Hodorff, Mildred Guell, Bernice Miller, Harold Hodorff, and John Hodorff.
A private family memorial service will take place.
