Boyd A. Kelm
Boyd A. Kelm, 80, of Fond du Lac, died on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Hope Health and Rehab in Lomira.
He was born on March 31, 1942, in Watertown, the son of Elmer and Edith Brown Kelm. On June 10, 1972, he married Maureen L. O’Connell at Church of Our Saviour in Fond du Lac.
Boyd worked for Mayville Metal Products for 45 years as a sheer operator. He was a member of Church of Our Saviour, where he also served on the Property Committee and the church dartball team. Boyd loved to hunt and fish, and was a member of the Lost Arrow Archery Club. He became very familiar hunting in the Horicon Marsh with his father and brother. He carried that love on and took his sons out hunting in the Eldorado Marsh, as well as hunting with family in Elcho, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maureen Kelm of Fond du Lac; his son, Chad (Dawn) Kelm of Mayville; his daughter, Tanya (Tom) Steffen of Fond du Lac; his stepson, Gary (Amanda) Garlow, and his stepdaughter, Teri Garlow both of Fond du Lac; his grandchildren, Matthew Garlow and Justin Garlow; his sister Fern (Ted) Lamars of Danbury, WI, and his nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Jimmy, Betty (Gordon) Cook, Faye Morgan and Roy (Alma) Kelm.
Cremation has taken place. Private Family Graveside Services will be held at Rienzi Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Hope Nursing Home in Lomira or Church of Our Saviour.
