Dianna Lynn (Cartledge) Williams
Dianna Lynn (Cartledge) Williams, the loving wife of Tom Williams, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2023.
She was born to Donald and Luella Cartledge on June 2, 1957, in Milwaukee. Dianna was an extremely hard worker and started working at the age of 13. Dianna had her only son, Dana, at a young age. From the start it was them against the world. They remained close throughout her life, rarely going a day without speaking to each other. She also had a very special bond with her niece, Tammy Theisen (and husband Brian), and loved Tammy dearly.
She always had a love for the car industry – selling cars for 40+ years. As a woman in a male-dominated field, Dianna was a pioneer in the car industry and gained the respect of many. While she was in the car industry, her main motivation was to help everyone that she could. That respect turned into many lifelong friendships. After she retired from the car industry, Dianna ran an adult daycare for several years in the City of Mayville.
She was family oriented and loved each and every one, always taking the time to sing happy birthday to them. When Tom retired, so did she. In addition to cars, Dianna had a passion for gardening, landscaping, bonfires by the lake and winters in Arizona. Whenever she had free time, you could find her out on her pontoon boat on Lake Sinissippi with family and friends, at an occasional casino, or travelling with Tom. Dianna cared for her mother when her father passed away and had previously taken care of Tom’s father when his wife, Arthea, passed away. If you met Dianna, she would become a ready and lifelong friend. She will be greatly missed!
She is survived by her husband, Tom; mother, Luella Cartledge; brother, Daniel Cartledge (wife Carrie); sister, Donna Tveten; sons, Dana Hecker (wife Colleen) and Eric Williams (wife Joy); grandchildren, Dillan Hecker, Halle Hecker, Taylor Wackett, Libby Wackett, Evelyn Williams, and Charlie Williams, as well as many loved nieces and nephews. They also had an entire family of close-knit Maricopa friends who made their winters the most enjoyable of their retirement years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Cartledge; brother, Donald Cartledge Sr.; and nephew, Donald Cartledge Jr.
