Gladwyn “Tyne” Sturrock


   Gladwyn “Tyne” Sturrock (nee Jaques), 102, of Rogers MN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025.    Tyne was born on October 20, 1922, in her family’s farmhouse outside Killarney, Manitoba, Canada. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in January 1942 and was trained as a Morse Code Operator. In January 1945 she was discharged and moved to Winnipeg, Canada.    On May 25, 1946, Tyne was married to John Sturrock, at Augustine United Church in Winnipeg.    Tyne and John enjoyed a wonderful life together, moving to the United States, raising three girls, and celebrating 53 years of marriage before John’s passing in 1999.    Tyne was small throughout her life but she was mighty. She had a generous spirit and a strong constitution. She weighed three pounds when she was born, beat cancer four times, and lived through the Depression. She dedicated her life to the well being of her family.    Those Tyne leaves behind to cherish her memory include her three children, Gail (Jim Stryzewski) Prokop and her son, John (Dawn) Prokop; Joan (Terry) Ernst and their two children, Tony (Christy) Ernst and Ami Ernst; Jackie (Gordon) Zimmerman and their two children, Melissa (Brian) Binotto, and Matthew (Heather) Zimmerman; and one sister, Liz (Ted) Hendry, and eight great-grandchildren, Nick, Ethan, Chandler, Juillet, Carson, Colvin, Hayleigh and Luke.    In addition to her husband, Tyne was preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.    A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Tyne. James R. ‘Chunky’ Weinberger


   James R. ‘Chunky’ Weinberger, 68, of LeRoy, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at Hope Senior Living in Lomira.    A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 1 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will take place at St. Andrew Cemetery in LeRoy at a later date.   Chunky was born the son of James Jr. and Helen (Krapfl) Weinberger on January 22, 1956, in Waupun. He was a graduate of Mayville High School. Chunky was united in marriage to Linda L. Blank on November 12, 1977.    He had worked as a quality inspector for Metalcraft. Chunky was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy.    In his spare time, Chunky enjoyed sports and watching them, especially golf. Family was important to him and he cherished the time spent with them, especially his grandchildren.    Chunky is survived by his children, Jim (Melissa) Weinberger of Hartford and Josh (Sherri Gradel) Weinberger of Rubicon; his grandchildren, Kendall, Ethan, and Jack Weinberger; his former daughter-in-law, Monica Weinberger of Hartford; his siblings, Ken (Shirley) Weinberger, Patti Weinberger, Judy (Ron) Rose, Rick Weinberger, Susan Weinberger, Nancy (Larry) Bogenschneider, Anthony (Kim) Weinberger, Gerard ‘Chipper’ (Anna Maria) Weinberger, Todd (Darra) Weinberger, and Lisa (Dennis) Fleischer; his siblings-in-law, Bev Schmuhl, David ‘Charlie’ (Connie) Blank, Carol (Keith) Weyer, and Jeff (Micki) Blank; further survived be nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.    He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Milton (Mathilda) Blank; his wife, Linda; and brother-in-law, Tom Schmuhl.    In lieu of flowers, memorials in loving memory of Chunky may be directed to St. Andrew Restoration Fund or St. Vincent De Paul.    Special thanks the staff, nurses, and doctors at Hope Senior Living, SSM Hospice, SSM Health- Cancer Center in Fond du Lac, and Froedtert West Bend Hospital for the care and support shown to Chunky and his family.    Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family. www.KoepsellFH.com

Nelda R. Heinecke

Nelda R. Heinecke


   Nelda R. Heinecke, nee Koller, of West Bend died on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, at the Samaritan Health Center at the age of 102 years.    She was born July 17, 1922 in West Bend to the late Joseph and Marie (nee Goschey) Koller.    On September 20, 1944, she was united in marriage to Lester J. Heinecke at Holy Angels Parish. Lester predeceased April 27, 2000.    After their marriage, they settled on a farm in Kohlsville. She was the typical farm wife and a loving and devoted mother. In addition to her family, her Catholic faith was at the center of her life.    After she retired from farming and the family homestead was sold, she enjoyed her monthly social with her sister and cousins. Their get togethers included playing cards and enjoying lunch.    Survivors include six children, Dianne Hetland of Rhinelander, Elaine Heinecke of Campbellsport, Merlin (Laurie) of Iron Ridge, Allen (Jayne) of Allenton, John of Campbellsport and Jeannine (Marty) Mittelstadt of Campbellsport; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn (Ron) Rutkowski of Pewaukee; one brother-in-law, Walter Kohler of West Bend; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.    In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ken and Gerald; two grandchildren; one brother, Harold Koller and one sister, Shirley (Henry) Teders.    A visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9, at Holy Angels Catholic Church from 3 until 4:45 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 5 p.m. Burial will be Friday, Jan. 10, at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Cemetery.    The Schmidt Funeral Home is serving the family. Michael Alexander

Michael Alexander


   Michael Alexander, 67, of Allenton, passed away unexpectedly December 23, 2024, at his residence.   Mike was a die cutter and binary worker with Serigraph, Universal  Lithographers, and R.R. Donnelly.   When Mike wasn’t working, he would usually be found at Geidel’s/Laatsch’s Piggly Wiggly or Kohn’s BP station.    Mike is survived by daughters, Stephanie (Matthew) Gruber of Campbellsport, and Stacey (fiancé Shawn Herbst) Lichtensteiger of Fond du Lac; granddaughters, Alivia Lichtensteiger and Kendall Gruber; further survived by three siblings, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   SERVICE: A gathering in honor of Mike will be on Friday, Jan. 10, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service (1315 W. John Carl Lemke

John Carl Lemke


   John Carl Lemke, 81, a longtime resident of Campbellsport, passed away on December 25, 2024, after a brief battle with lung cancer.   John was born on June 12, 1943, to Junerose and Lloyd Lemke. After John graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1961, he served in the United States Army from June of 1961 to June of 1964. After returning from the Army, John had many jobs over the years.   John met his wife, Arline, when they were in High School. They were married on October 17th, 1964, at United Church of Christ Church in Campbellsport. They were married for 60 years. John and Arline had four children, Amy (deceased), John (wife - Sara), Anita, and Jason. John was the proud grandfather (Papa) to five grandchildren, Carson, Jake, Cole, Claire, and Conner. John and Arline lived in Campbellsport since 1968. John was the second generation in his family to serve on the Campbellsport Volunteer Fire Department. He did this for 25 years.   If you knew John at all, you knew he was kind to everyone. He loved to talk about anything and everything. John enjoyed the comics in the Sunday paper, especially Dennis the Menace, Beetle Bailey, and Family Circus. He would share the ones he found funny with others. John is fondly remembered by his grandchildren as M&M grandpa, because he always had a shirt pocket of M&Ms when he saw them or at least some in the kitchen.   Services were held at Twohig’s Funeral Home in Campbellsport on Saturday, Dec. 28, from 2 to 6 pm. Donald Jacak


 Donald Jacak, 76, formerly of Random Lake, went to his Heavenly home unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.    Don was born April 29, 1948, to Lambert and Irene (nee Heinecke) Jacak. He grew up in St. Killian and attended St. Killian Catholic Grade School and Campbellsport High School.   He married Jeanne Krautkramer on February 9, 1968.   He was employed by Weasler Engineering for over 40 years and retired in 2013.    Don was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Scott. Throughout the years, he served as an elder and Sunday School Superintendent.    Don had a special talent for building and remodeling and Jeanne made sure there was always something for him to build or repair. There was no project he couldn’t complete, and he took great pride in his accomplishments. He was a hardworking man.   Don loved nature, spending time outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed his hunting and fishing trips with his buddies. The deer and bear that he shot with his bow were some of his proudest possessions. Don enjoyed spending time fishing, skiing, boating, and bonfires at their lake home in Shawano with family and friends. In his earlier years, he liked bowling, horseshoes, trap shooting, and coaching his boys’ baseball teams.   Don loved traveling with Jeanne, having been in almost all 50 states, and since retirement, spending winters on South Padre Island in Texas.    Don is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanne; his children, Tim (Tammy), Corey (Jessica), and Becky; his grandchildren, Brianna (Matthew) Schuster, Tanner (special friend Brandi Geldnich), Daphne (fiancé Connor Tanck), and Dustin; step-granddaughter, Samantha (Greg) Gerlat; great-grandchildren, Berklie Anna Schuster and Oliver Gerlat; sister, Eunice (Keith) Dahlinger; sisters-in-law, Pam Jacak and Sandy Krautkramer; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He is further survived by his canine companion, Itzy.   In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis; brother-in-law, Ross (Rose) Krautkramer; parents-in-law, Lloyd and Eugenia (nee Brabender) Krautkramer; and beloved canine companions.    VISITATION: Don’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, Jan. 3, from 2 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church Town of Scott W8497 Brazelton Dr., Random Lake, WI 53075.   SERVICE: Following the visitation, a Memorial Service in remembrance of Don will take place at 5 p.m. at the church with Pastor Brian Krueger officiating. Lloyd V. Behling Jr.


   Lloyd V. Behling Jr., 73, of Mayville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at Randolph Health Services in Randolph.   A visitation for Lloyd was held on Friday, Dec. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville. Interment followed at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville.   Lloyd was born the son of Lloyd Sr and Violet (Reineck) Behling on May 7, 1951, in Hartford.   He was a graduate of Reeseville High School.   Lloyd was united in marriage to his first wife Patricia Marx on May 18, 1970, in Juneau. Patricia passed away in 2005. Lloyd found love and was united in marriage to Peggy Tooley on July 28, 2018, at the Fireman’s Park in Mayville.    Lloyd worked for over 20 years as a welder at Rumar. He and Peggy were good patrons of the Mayville American Legion and was instrumental in starting the Wednesday Night Legion Group. Lloyd loved his tractors; it didn’t matter the color or kind. If he could buy it, he liked it. Lloyd loved a good deal and often could be found attending auctions and garage sales. He lived for WWE and looked forward to Monday Night Raw.    Above all else, Lloyd loved his family and looked for ways to create special moments with them. He always could be found with a candy bar or tootsie rolls in his pocket picked out specially for each grandchild to enjoy.    Lloyd is survived by his wife, Peggy; children, Bobbi Jo Behling, Chad (Lynn) Behling, Briget (Ryan) Pluim, Kristine Reible, Tim (Jackie) Russell, Sara Jo (John) Moen, and Scott (DeAnna) Russell. Lester G. Weis


   Lester G. Weis, 85, of Campbellsport, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, at Liberty House in Fond du Lac.   He was born on August 28, 1939, in the Town of Ashford, the son of the late Gregor and Margaret (nee Thill) Weis.    On April 15, 1961, Lester was united in marriage to Elaine G. Ritger at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allenton.   He was a member of U.S. Army National Guard and was called up to active duty at Fort Lewis, WA, for one year.   Lester worked at Regal Ware and the Gehl Company before retiring. Lester enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking, gardening, mopeding, and biking, but most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.   Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Elaine; children, Lisa (Mike) Pionke, Charles (Kecia) Weis, and Christine (Kevin) Kohlmann; grandchildren, Ryan (Pam), Cheryl (Jim), Aaron (Britt), Nathan, Dan (Sara), Sara (Andrew), Jared, Ethan, and Jonathon (Emily); great-grandchildren, Allison, Eli, Gavin, Devon, Kinsley, Stella, Braxton, Bryson, Leo, Hal, Zaria, Ashley, Autumn, and Maggie; sisters, Doris (Willy) Rusch, Caroline Thuesch, and Florence (Tom) Flood; brothers, Norbert (Ruth) Weis, Alvin (Gloria) Weis, and Richard (Kelly) Weis; sister-in-law, Martha Weis; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Along with his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Beisbier; brother, Eugene Weis; and brothers-in-law, Cornelius Beisbier, and Frank Theusch.   Visitation for Lester was held Saturday, Dec. 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St. Campbellsport.   A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Dec. 28, at 12 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Church with Rev. Mark Jones Officiating.
