Karl was born at the homestead farmhouse in the Town of Ashford, to John Michael and Severa Catherine (Reisenweber) Krueger. Raised on the family farm, later he was enlisted in the National Guard, and was activated for the Berlin Crisis. At this time, he was together with Jean Arlene Luedtke of Lomira. On November 11, 1961, they were married in the chapel in Fort Lewis, WA. They celebrated 50 years on November 11, 2011, and they were able to celebrate their 59th on November 11, 2020. After his military service, the couple returned home to Ashford, where Karl worked on the family farm, and he later began a 34-year career with Wisconsin Power & Light/Alliant Energy. In the course of his career, he moved five times: Fond Du Lac, Horicon, Baraboo, Marion/Clintonville, and ending again in Baraboo, as Foreman of the service department. Together Karl and Jean traveled throughout the US and various countries in Europe. Karl had a passion for gardening and volunteering. For years to come his flowers will still be blooming. He actively volunteered and supported the Circus World Museum, Mackenzie Center in Poynette, and delivered Meals on Wheels. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Elks Club 688, American Legion Post 26 and served as Commander of the American Legion in 2013. Karl is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Ricky (Virginia), Stephen (Paula), Pamela (Mike), Karla; and grandchildren, Joshua Krueger, Asa and Konrad Krueger, and Kolin Uptagraw. Karl was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louis John; sister, Marilyn Anne; and many aunts, uncles, and many dear friends. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at Redlin Funeral Home in Baraboo. A service will be held at the Redlin Funeral Home, Baraboo, on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. Private burial will be at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac. Karl’s fun-loving personality, quick humor, and a love for toasting a drink with friends will be truly missed. When it is permissible and safe, there will be a Celebration of Life to toast and enjoy the memories of his life. Celebration of Life Service:  November 22 at 1 p.m.  Location:  Pentecostal House of Prayer in Horicon Dale Vogt, 61, of Horicon, born November 22, 1958, was called home to his heavenly Father on November 1, 2020. He was a beloved husband to Nancy Vogt, a father to Jerome F. Vogt, and step-father to Samantha (Tom) Peek and Danielle Udelhofen (Jim), and brother to Gary (Careyann) Vogt and Tom (Teri) Vogt; uncle to Nicole, Cheyenne, Matthew, and Alyssa. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Annamarie, Phoebe, Judah, Noah, Elijah, and Henry. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Jerome Vogt; and brother, Randall Vogt. Dale was in the Navy, and was honorably discharged as a disabled veteran. He had a love for nature, God, his family, woodworking, and his country. He will be missed by many family and friends alike. A celebration of life service will be held at the Pentecostal House of Prayer, W3941 State Road 33, Horicon, on his birthday, November 22, at 1 pm., followed by a reception.

Vieaux, 71, of Union Grove, formerly of Horicon passed away on November 13, 2020, in Union Grove. Greg was born the son of Lawrence and Barbara (Schultz) Vieaux on November 10, 1949, in Milwaukee. He was a 1967 graduate of Messmer High School. He had worked as a barber for over 15 years and then at MEC for 20 years. MEC is also where he met his wife, Ellen. On March 8, 2003, they were united in marriage at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon. He was a member at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon, where he volunteered and helped keep the church clean. In his spare time, Greg had enjoyed golfing, body building, hunting, and archery. He was a lifetime member of the Horicon Marsh Bowman. He also loved golfing and was a member of the Mayville Golf Course. Greg loved going out for dinner, especially a good fish fry. Family was very important to Greg and he cherished the time spent with them. He loved to watch his nephews play football and visiting his grandchildren. Helping others was another important part of Greg’s life. He had 34 years of sobriety and spent countless hours being an active member/sponsor for AA, including holding meetings at Dodge County Correctional Facility. Greg will be missed by many. Greg is survived by his wife, Ellen, of Union Grove; his daughter, Cheryl (Dan) Krupp and their children, Savannah and Mary; his stepson, Justin (Sarah) Schmidt and their twins, Jay and Quinn; his sister, Karen (Tony) MacCudden; his brother, Bryan (Kelly) Vieaux; brother-in-law, Ed Barker. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, In laws, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vicki Vieaux; mother-in-law, Anna Schmidt; brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Fran Schmidt; niece, Dawn Schmidt; and his great friend, Shirley Myles. Jakob Mueller, 90, of Theresa, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020, at Froedert Hospital in West Bend when he went home to meet his Lord and Savior. He was born in September 22, 1930, in Nikinci, Yugoslavia, to Heinrich and Eva (Bittner) Mueller. Jakob and his family moved to America in 1952 and he became a proud citizen of America. Jakob served in the Army during the Korean War. In 1955 he married his sweetheart Kathy Russ in a double ring ceremony with his sister Rosi and Kathy’s brother, Nick. Jakob farmed in the Mayville area for 30 years. After his retirement, Jakob enjoyed vacationing in St Germain with his wife, sister-in-law, Helen and brother-in- law, Nick. He fished by day and had fun at night joking and laughing. Jakob was proud of his three daughters and his six granddaughters and his seven great-granddaughters and finally there were four great-grandsons in the family. Jakob is survived by his wife, Kathy, and his daughters, Hertha Lackas, Heidi (Dennis) Fiedler, Mary (Bruce) Cundy; granddaughters, Dawn (Tony) Karel, Kristina Belyeu, Melinda (Ryan) Serwe, Jamie (Ben) Schellinger, Jennifer (Robert) Parks, and Ashley Lackas; great-grandchildren, Ava, Gabriella, Kennedy, Brooklynn, Alexis, Lydia, Owen, Blake, Ronni, Knox and Kanon. Jakob is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Rosi and Nick Russ and his sister-in-law, Helen Schimpf and aunt, Mary Bittner, and other relatives and friends. Gene was born the son of Herman and Sabina (Huber) Bauer on February 12, 1931, in LeRoy. He was united in marriage to Arlien J. Medek on August 22, 1959, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy. Gene worked for W. J. Woodruff Roofing for 45 years and then went on to join the Golden Eagles at Quad/Graphics for 11 years. He was a faithful member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy and served as a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Gene enjoyed being an umpire for baseball games and was active in the LeRoy Athletic Club. He loved to be outdoors and especially up north at ‘deer camp’ with his family. He also enjoyed Sunday morning cinnamon rolls after mass which was a tradition that Gene never missed. Family was very important to Gene and he loved spending time with them. Helena D. “Bean” Smith, 33, of Horicon and Mayville passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020, at the UW Hospital in Madison. Helena was born the daughter of Gary and Suzanne (Voeltz) Smith on November 21, 1986, in Beaver Dam. She spent her first two years of life at the UW Hospital in Madison. Bean loved the outdoors, pie and eating at Applebee’s. She will be deeply missed by her parents; her brother, Michael “Mick” Smith; and her aunts, Jill (John) Voeltz and Lynn (Dave) Pett. John R. “Bob” McClellan, 79, of Montello passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020. Bob was born the son of James and Fern (Shaumberg) McClellan on November 5, 1941, in Iowa. Bob was a graduate of Rockwell City High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was united in marriage to Irene Greshay for 42 years. Bob worked for many years at John Deere Company in Horicon and Kreilkamp Trucking. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed being outdoors especially hunting and fishing. Bob loved watching and feeding the birds in his back yard. He also loved a chance to socialize with his family and friends over a beer. Everyone that knew him, knew that behind his grumpiness there was a true heart of gold and he was willing to help anyone. Garriety, 84, of Lomira passed away peacefully and went home to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born on February 1, 1936, to Edgar and Mary (LaVarda) in Nasbro. He was a 1953 graduate of Lomira High School. Ed was united in marriage to Elisabeth Feucht on July 23, 1960. Ed worked for Western Lime for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira. Ed was an avid Ford car collector and was always proud to show them in the local parades. He loved being outdoors, especially in his garden. Being the proud Irishman he was, he looked forward to the yearly family potato harvest. He also enjoyed camping trips, turkey hunting and cutting wood with the family. Ed also enjoyed playing Sheepshead and his toy tractor collection. Above all else, family was the most important thing to him and he never missed a chance to watch his grandkids and great-grandkids participate in a concert or sporting event. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Frances was born the daughter of Nicholas and Alvina (Rubin) Schommer on August 26, 1921, in Hastings, MN. She was a 1939 graduate of South Milwaukee High School. Frances was united in marriage to Alex E. Beck on June 11, 1948, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. She was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodland (now Sacred Heart Parish, Horicon) where she served her parish faithfully and was also a member of the Christian Mothers. In her spare time, Frances enjoyed playing sheepshead with friends and going to many area fish frys. She also volunteered her time with the Golden Youth Club in Iron Ridge and had served as a past officer. Frances also was active with the Mayville Senior Center. Family was very important to her and she treasured the time spent visiting her siblings and cherished the time with her children and grandchildren.
