Arline M. Mans (nee Chapman), 92, of State Road 67 Campbellsport, died on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at The Waterford Assisted Living in Plymouth. She was born in Milwaukee on May 25, 1927, the daughter of the late George and Evelyn Chapman. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Bruce (Sharon) Momsen of Boulder City, Nevada and Karen Popelier of Dundee; seven grandchildren, Aaron (Angie) Magnuson, Adam (Jackie) Magnuson, Amy Houser, Janet (Josh) Geiser, Dan Popelier, Jeff (Amber) Popelier, Joe (Melissa) Popelier; 13 great-grandchildren, Presley, Colton, Koda, Cheyenne, Savanna, Ryder, Rayden, Aiden, Hunter, Tanner, Christian, Taylor, Bryce, and Aubrey. She is further survived by one brother, Bob (Mary) Chapman of Crivitz, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Date: Friday, Aug. 2 Time: Visitation 4 to 8 p.m., Service 8 p.m. Place: Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville Walter R. “Gator” Adelmeyer, 66, of Lomira passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Walter was born the son of Robert and Anna Mae (Jones) Adelmeyer on February 13, 1953 in Beaver Dam. He was a 1971 graduate of Mayville High School. Walter was united in marriage to Barbara Lawrence on April 19, 1975, in Lomira at Trinity United Methodist Church. In the early part of his life, Walter helped on his family farm, located on Dairy Road in LeRoy. He went on to become an over-the-road truck driver for 40 years. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed taking his family on some of his routes. In his spare time, Walter enjoyed the Packers, Brewers, and the Badgers. He loved watching his son’s games and helped coach whenever he had time. He relished being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He also enjoyed shooting trap, bowling, and playing softball. Walter is survived by his wife, Barb of Lomira; his sons, Donald (Dawn) Adelmeyer of Jackson and Dustin (special friend Megan Casey) Adelmeyer of Fox Lake; his sister, Mary Ann (Tony) Alsberg of Lomira; his brother-in-law, Mark Lawrence of Great Falls, MT; one grandchild on the way and his step-grandchildren, Dezirae and Trenton Jones; his canine companions, Lacey, Peanut, and Minnie; his grandpups, Nova and Lincoln. Walter is further survived by an uncle, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Don and Jackie Lawrence. Donna M. Serwe

Donna M. Serwe


Donna M. Serwe (nee Welsh), 86, of Campbellsport passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Serenity Villa in Campbellsport. She was born on February 26, 1933 in the Town of Osceola, the daughter of the late James and Viola Welsh (nee Draves). Donna married Gerald Serwe on May 29, 1954 at Our Lady of Angels in Armstrong. She worked at Barton Washer and Schlaefer Optometrists. While raising six children, she worked for over 20 years at St. Joseph’s Convent, tending to the sisters’ cleaning and spiritual needs. Donna formed very close bonds with the sisters. She loved babysitting and watching her grandchildren grow up. Her great-grandchildren always lifted up her spirits when they visited her. Donna was a devoted and loving wife. She loved spending time with her husband, going on short trips to see some sights, play a little bingo, and check out the slot machines. Vacations in the summertime involved spending time at various cabins and lakes up north. Our parents instilled a love of fishing and walks in the woods to enjoy nature. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her four sons, James (Kris) of Kaukauna, and their children, Ben (Dana), Sarah (Yorgos), Hannah (Elliot), Ryan (Brooke); Daniel (Denise) of Campbellsport and their son, Matt (Jordan); Gerry B. of Campbellsport and his daughter, Alexa (Barrett); and John of Campbellsport; one daughter, Sheryl (Rick) Anders of Campbellsport and their children, Joe (Angie), Jessica (Andy), and Jackie (Shaun); and nine great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, James (Betty) Welsh of Eden; her sisters, Ann Gustafson and Bonnie Narges both of Fond du Lac, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald, her daughter, Judy, and her grandson, Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Matthew’s School and Schlaefer’s Nicaragua Mission Trips. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 4 p.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St. Campbellsport. Rev. George E. Lendved


George E. Lendved, age 82 years, of Kewaskum was called home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2019 at Froedtert St. Joseph Hospital in the Town of Polk surrounded by his loving family. George was born on May 2, 1937 in Milwaukee to Leonard and Carol Lendved (Olson). He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Judy Bodinger, on June 25, 1955 at Fountain Park United Methodist Church in Sheboygan. George and Judy resided in the New Fane area since 1958. George graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan (1955). He was a Maintenance Supervisor at the West Bend Company for 44 years, retiring in 1999. George had a great sense of humor and was an amazing joke teller. He enjoyed snowmobiling. George was a founding member of the New Fane Kettle Riders Snowmobile Club (1972). He served in the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine Snowmobile Association from 1977 to 1983, serving all of Sheboygan County. George continued on to become Vice President of the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs (AWSC) located in Madison. He served as Vice President from 1982 to 1986, and then he became President of the AWSC from 1986 to 1990. George was a member at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane where he was very active. Other than snowmobling, George enjoyed traveling, camping, farming, growing his favorite flower roses, and collecting John Deere garden tractors. He was an avid Trump supporter and FoxNews advocate. His pride and joy was his workshop; George always said, “I can fix anything!” and “I never worked a day in my life, what I did for a living was also my hobby!” He had a big heart and was always willing to help his neighbors and anyone else who asked. Those George leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 64 years, Judy; three children, Larry (Nadine) Lendved, Nancy (Ed) Kleinke, and Bonnie (Darryl) Zanow; eight grandchildren, Julie (Paul) Strassman, Jessie (Terry) Jordan, Jon (Ali) Lendved, Carrie (Travis) Roell, Lindsey (Keefe) Olig, Cassie (Jeff) Lindgren, Brooke (Justin) Krueger, and Graeme (Jennifer) Zanow; three stepgrandchildren, Angela Kleinke, David Kleinke, and Lindsey (Jason) Mc-Claren; 19 great-grandchildren, six step- great- grandchildren, and one greatgreat- granddaughter due in August. He is further survived by a sisterin- law, Jill (Charles) Anthony Eggenberger; two nieces, Kim (Kelly) Vandehy and Lisa (Mark) Ceranski; honorary grandson, Grant Lubner; other relatives, friends and faithful canine companion, Duke. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Joseph and Alma Bodinger; and brother-in-law, Leland Anthony. Funeral Service for George will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane (N683 County Rd S) with Pastor Mark Eckert officiating. Jane A. Klein

Jane A. Klein


Jane A. (Luedtke) Klein, 79, of Lomira, and for the past six years, a resident of LaCrosse, passed on to eternal life, on June 23, 2019, at Hillview Health Care Center in LaCrosse. She was born Jane Alice Luedtke, on October 31, 1939, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, to Fred and Elda (McChain) Luedtke. Jane graduated from Lomira High School in 1957. On October 10, 1959, Jane married Gordon Klein, also of Lomira, at Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church in Lomira. Jane’s life was guided by her faith in the Lord. She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira. Jane served her church as financial secretary, communion steward, youth group leader, custodian, and on a mission trip to Red Bird Mission in Kentucky. In her pre-teen and teen years, Jane was proud to be a grease monkey, alongside her “Pa,” at Luedtke’s Service Station in Lomira. Following high school graduation, and prior to having children, she worked as a keypunch operator at A. C. Nielsen in Fond du Lac. In their early years of marriage, Jane devoted herself to raising their three children. After the children were grown, Jane and Gordon owned and operated Klein Hardware. Jane did book work and made salads at McDonald’s in Lomira. She also worked in electrical and hardware customer service at Menards in Fond du Lac, retiring in 2011. Jane’s involvement in community organizations included Lomira TOPS Club, serving in various offices including President; Lomira Centennial Planning Committee; and Lomira Chamber of Commerce historian. Jane’s interests were varied: historical events; current events; collecting antique items from past businesses in Lomira/surrounding area and later donating her collection to the Lomira Historical Society; pleasure reading; music, particularly polka and classic country; being entertained by natures’ critters at outside feeders; watching sports, including but not limited to, WIAA state high school basketball tournaments, Brewers baseball, and Packers football. Many have benefited from Jane’s passions for crocheting and knitting. In addition to the joy of creating items, she enjoyed gifting crocheted baby afghans, teaching others the art of crocheting, and tackling patterns with new challenges. She was especially proud of teaching her grandchildren how to crochet, especially her left-handed granddaughter. Jane most enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, especially their grandchildren. Jane enjoyed attending as many of her grandchildren’s activities: sporting, music and others as she was able to. She enjoyed cooking and baking, having accumulated an impressive collection of cookbooks. Jane was proud to share her cooking and baking interests with her children and grandchildren - sharing favorite recipes and techniques in cooking and baking alongside them and preparing big family meals. Memories of Jane live on in son, Bill (Tammy) Klein; granddaughter Kylie Klein; and grandson, Keith Klein; daughter, Betsy Klein; and daughter, Peggy Klein. We are proud of the courage Mom displayed throughout her/our struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease, an incredibly exhausting and frustrating disease. Jane is further survived by sister, Judy (Larry) Schraufnagel; sister, Jean (Karl) Krueger; brother-in-law, Gerald (Shirley) Klein; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Wes) Falk; special friend, Kathy Gindt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jane was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, in March 2018; parents, Fred and Elda Luedtke; brother, Jim (Geni) Luedtke; brother-in-law, Lyle Schwartz; parents-in-law, Alfred (Hilda Stuck) Klein; sister-in-law, Genevieve (Ed) Huck; brother-in-law, Reverend James Klein; nephew, Kevin Klein; and special friend, Rodney Gindt. Jane’s family will greet guests on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., and will enjoy visiting again at the church, following the burial in Salem Cemetery in Lomira. A Celebration of Jane’s Life will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira, on Saturday, Aug. 3, at noon, with Pastors Rom Pegram and Wesley Falk officiating. Thirza Ann Kuhlman


Thirza Ann Kuhlman, 78, of Horicon, passed away July 18, 2019, at Clearview in Juneau. She was born December, 10 1940, in Fox Lake, the daughter of Jess and Mary Alice (Ross) Tillema. Thirza graduated from Juneau High School in 1959 and married her high-school sweetheart, Roy, on July 2, 1960. Thirza and Roy moved their family to Horicon in 1965, when they bought a farm east of town. Thirza and Roy worked together on the farm until their retirement in the early 2000s, when their son Mark took over the operation. Thirza spent the years since doing the things she loved: traveling with Roy, spending time with family, and watching old movies and murder mysteries. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. Thirza is survived by her five children, Sandra Kuhlman, Laura (Bryan) Schmude, Linda Kuhlman, Mark (Stephanie) and their sons Merrick and Cody, Amy Kuhlman; also, her two grandchildren, Zackery (Dana) Schmude and Stephanie Schmude, plus one great-grandson Mason; her siblings, George (Jan) Tillema, Faye (Kris) Hampton and Jean (Ron) Mueller; sisters-in-law, Carol Tillema, Dorothy Kuhlman, and Carol (Ken) Graves; and many relatives and friends. Elizabeth Jeanette Quandt


Elizabeth Jeanette Quandt began her new journey on Monday, July 15, 2019, surrounded by loved ones. She was born to David and Christine (Mack) Quandt on October 6,1987 at Hartford Memorial Hospital. In her short life, she accomplished many things. Always a brilliant student, she graduated as valedictorian from Lomira High School in 2006. She then went on to UW Green Bay, UW Fond du Lac, and  UW Oshkosh, completing her four-year degree in math with high honors, always on the dean's list. After graduating, she worked numerous jobs as a tutor and librarian. Her many passions included math and music-she played clarinet, saxophone, piano, guitar, ukulele, and started the violin. She also loved to sing. But above all, she loved her family most- especially her nieces and nephew whom she called "the lights of my life". Despite her disabilities, she still pushed herself to live life to its fullest, particularly enjoying going to concerts with her family.​ She is an inspiration to all that knew her. Even with her own daily struggles, she always found time to listen to others and help in anyway she could. Her strength continues to encourage us to constantly better ourselves and be kind to one another. Elizabeth is survived by her parents, David and Christine Quandt of Lomira; her sisters, Sarah Quandt of Howards Grove, Anna Quandt of Fond du Lac, and Rachel (Grant) Nass of Campbellsport; her nephew, Charles Quandt and nieces, Charlotte and Evelyn Nass; her dog, Tillie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.​ She was preceded in death by her niece, Carolyn; grandparents, William and Jeanette Mack and Elsmer and Eleanor Quandt; special friend, Johne;  aunt, Barb; and cousins.​ Visitation will take place from 11 to 2 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel in West Bend, with a service and luncheon to follow. Marguerite J. Van Hulst

Marguerite J. Van Hulst


Marguerite J. Van Hulst, 88, of Horicon passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in her home. Marguerite was born the daughter of Martin and Alice (Fleussus) Van Hulst on January 30, 1931, in Green Bay. Marguerite received her masters degree in education and dedicated her life to educating children. She taught for over 35 years in the New Holstein, Appleton, and Horicon School Districts. She was also an accomplished author of children's literature and other texts. She wrote dozens of manuscripts and her most notable children's book, titled, Stuck In The Tub was translated into several languages. As a reading specialist, she produced a guide for teaching reading skills to children. Never idle, she was also active in getting kids to participate in theater. She was generous and gave to a variety of Catholic charities over many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon. Marguerite loved her family and cherished her special relationship with her sister Kathryn. Marguerite is survived by her sister, Sister Kathryn Van Hulst, SSND. of Elm Grove, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Coisman, and sister, Mary Durnin. A visitation took place on Tuesday, July 23, from 9-11 a.m. at St. Francis Church. A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Tuesday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Church, Hollandtown, 433 County Rd. CE, Kaukauna, WI 54130 with the Rev. Fr. Kyle Sladek presiding.
