   Car­olyn Weber Leininger, 97, passed away peace­fully after a long ill­ness on Sun­day, Oct. 13, 2024, at As­cen­sion Liv­ing Alex­ian Vil­lage in Mil­wau­kee.   She was born, a twin, on April 18, 1927, in Camp­bell­sport. She was a grad­u­ate from Camp­bell­sport High School in 1945; and also from Beauty Col­lege in Mil­wau­kee.   She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, William Leininger; par­ents Rein­hold and Alice Weber; brother, Allan Weber, broth­ers-in-law, Richard Nirschl and Harold Bi­en­venu; sis­ter-in-law, Therese Schlae­fer Weber.   Those sur­viv­ing her in­clude her son, William Leininger, Jr., and wife, Bar­bara of Med­ford, OR; broth­ers, Bob Weber, her twin, She­boy­gan Falls; Eu­gene Weber, Fond du Lac; Don Weber (Judy), Oshkosh; sis­ters, Eloise Weber Bi­en­venu, West Cov­ina, CA; Mau­reen Weber Nirschl, Long­mont, CO; Mary Alice Weber Met­zler, Modesto, CA; sis­ter-in-law, Noreen Teske Weber, Mil­wau­kee; and many nieces and nephews and friends.   Her fu­neral ser­vice was held in the Chapel at As­cen­sion Liv­ing Alex­ian Vil­lage, Mil­wau­kee on Oc­to­ber 19, 2024.   Church and Chapel Fu­neral Home, Mil­wau­kee, WI were in charge of arrange­ments.

Richard “Dick” Joseph Du Charme

Richard “Dick” Joseph Du Charme


   Richard “Dick” Joseph Du Charme, 77, passed away tragically on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, doing what he loved, working in his garage.   He was born on September 7, 1947, to L.J. “Red” and Margaret (nee Ploederl) Du Charme.   Dick served in the United States Army during Vietnam as a crew chief on a helicopter in the 71st Assault Helicopter Company and was honored with a Purple Heart. He later was a member of the Kettle Moraine Chapter of the VVA.    Dick was an elevator mechanic up until retirement at the age of 55 years old. He worked for the IUEC and loved his career. He had a passion for his homestead and owned many horses in his life. He was a true cowboy and often wore his cowboy party hat. His many hobbies included: reading, guns, shooting sporting clays, riding his UTV John Deere Gator, his vintage cars and attending car shows. If you were fortunate enough to ride in any of his old cars, you’d better have sunglasses on : )   Dick is survived by his son, Jason (Christine) Brownlee; siblings, Peg (Bob) Hoch, Sue (Dave) Flynn, Dave (Jodi); grandchildren, Emma, Meg, Madeline and Lauren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.   Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (nee Lex); his parents, Red and Margaret Du Charme; and sister, Bonnie.    A Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095). A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Deacon Mark Jansen presiding, concluding with Military Honors.    Dorothy L. Ran­dall, 94 (nee Braatz), of Eden, passed away Thurs­day, Oct. 17, 2024 at the Hos­pice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.   She was born on March 8, 1930, in Fond du Lac, the daugh­ter of William and Min­nie (Sielaff) Braatz.   She was a grad­u­ate of Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac.   On July 30, 1949, she mar­ried Gene Ran­dall at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac.   She loved spend­ing time with her friends and fam­ily. Some of her hob­bies in­cluded play­ing Sheepshead and Pass the Ace.    Sur­vivors in­clude her sons, Mark (Veron­ica) of Eden, Scott of Glen­beu­lah, and Brad (Jill) of Lamar­tine; grand­chil­dren, Steve (Jess) Ran­dall, Saman­tha (Caleb) Pike, Jo­han­nah (Tony) Trudeau; great-grand­chil­dren, Syd­nee, Jack­son, Mason, Se­bas­t­ian, Olivier; sis­ters-in-law, Gail of Lamar­tine, San­dra (Don­ald) of Fond du Lac, and Mary (Ken­neth) of Fond du Lac. Janet L. Enright


   Janet L. Enright (nee Allarding), 89, of Kewaskum passed away in the early morning hours on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024.   She was born in West Bend, on November 20, 1934, to the late Edward and Hattie (nee Kotecki) Allarding.   Shortly after high school graduation, and while attending her first Boltonville picnic, Janet met the love of her life Kenneth “Kenny” Enright. Kenny courted Janet for two-and-a-half years immediately proposing marriage to her after he returned home from the service in June 1956. Two short months later, on August 25, 1956, they were united in marriage at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend. Together they raised their three boys Mike, Tom and Steve.   In the early years, Janet worked on the family farm doing morning chores before heading to work at the West Bend Company. But the role she loved the most was being a stay-at-home mom to her boys, housewife to Ken, and baking homemade breads, pies and other sweet treats for her family daily.   She was a member of St Michael’s Catholic Church, the Christian Women’s Group, and an active member of the St Michael’s prayer line. She ran the church kitchen for many years. Her love for cooking and baking served many a home cooked meal, when attending St Michael’s annual Fall Festival or eating lunch after a funeral. Janet was well known in the Boltonville community for her perfected German potato salad.   Janet was a former member of the local chapter of Red Hat Ladies and the Tuesday afternoon ladies bowling league at Lighthouse Lanes. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting, and playing cards with family, grandchildren, and friends. She rarely sat out of a good round of Sheepshead playing many a hand at the Kewaskum’s Senior Center and attending Bingo nights at local town halls. Janet especially enjoyed her time spent with family and friends. She was blessed to be called “Grandma Janet” too many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.    Those Janet leaves behind to cherish her memory include her three sons, Mike (Linda) Enright, Tom Enright, and Steve (Jill) Enright all of Boltonville; six grandchildren, Corey Enright, Jason (Jen) Enright, Barb (Fiancé Ben) Eckes, James Landrum, Jon Enright, and Brooke (fiancé Evan) Enright; 11 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Ranen, Madison, Hadley, Lauren, Eisley, Kaitlynn, Tysen, and Nolan Enright, Bryn and Leilah Eckes; a sister, Lou Ann Weber; a brother-in-law, Joe (Ann) Enright; two sisters-in-law, Marie Hintz and Cordell Enright; other relatives and friends.    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Kenneth Enright; a sister, Elaine (Roman) Ritger; four brothers-in-law, John Weber, Ralph Hintz, Merlin (Eleanor) Enright and Gerald Enright; two sisters-in law, Janet (Fred) Mleczek and Irene (Roger) Knoeck; grandson-in-law, Jon Eckes; and three nephews, Doug Enright, Jim Weber, and Bill Enright.   VISITATION: Janet’s family greeted relatives and friends at St. John of God Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. until the start of the service.SERVICE: A memorial Mass for Janet was held at St. John of God Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at noon.    John Frank Boegel, 81, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.   John was born on January 7, 1943, in Kewaskum, to the late Oscar and Lucy (nee Weitor) Boegel. John served his country in the Marines.   He was united in marriage to Rita Wenninger on July 6, 1968, at Holy Trinity – Kewaskum.   John was a US Postal Service worker.   He also loved to do word puzzle books. John was a huge Johnny Cash, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Elvis Presley. John was a simple man who loved the small things in life. He loved his grandchildren and great–grandchildren.    Those left to cherish John’s memory include his wife, Rita Boegel; son, Joshua Boegel; grandchildren, Brooklyn Schmidt and Abbygail Dundurs; two great-grandchildren, Huxdyne and Kaitlyn Sharick-Dundurs; other relatives and friends.   VISITATION: John’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, Oct. 25, from 12 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., at Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 215 Forest Avenue, Kewaskum, WI.   SERVICE: A memorial service for John will follow visitation at 3 p.m. at Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service with Father Patrick Magnor officiating the service. Dennis J. Gerth


  Dennis J. Gerth, 70, of Iron Ridge, passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at Jefferson Memory Care in Jefferson.   Dennis was born the son of Horst and Norma (Zimmerman) Gerth on April 18, 1954, in Beaver Dam.   He had been a farmer in Iron Ridge for over 25 years and most recently was a semi driver for JLP in Horicon.   Dennis was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church- Browns Corner.   In his spare time, Dennis loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and having a beautiful, manicured garden. He was also a master tinkerer who could fix just about anything and was skilled at restoring antique tractors.    Dennis is survived by his longtime companion, April; his children, Tracy (Keith) Antoniewicz of Waukesha, Tiffany (Brian) Barrow of DeForest, Corey (Heidi) Gerth of Johnson Creek, and Jason Dettmering of Beaver Dam; his siblings, Carl (Gail) Gerth of Iron Ridge, Roland Gerth of Horicon, Chris (David) Schumacher of Fox Lake, Ernie (Phyllis) Gerth of Horicon, Wayne (Sherry) Gerth of Iron Ridge, Faith (Bill) Stroede of Mayville, and Monica (Dave) Roskopf of Iron Ridge; his grandchildren, Malia Barrow, Corrin Barrow, Tyler Gerth, Addison Gerth, Jackson Dettmering, Graham Antoniewicz, and Vivienne Antoniewicz. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Aaroen.   A funeral service for Dennis will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 12 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church - Browns Corner with the Rev. Allen Behnke officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon at the church. Eric Jay Schladweiler

Eric Jay Schladweiler


   Eric Jay Schladweiler, 57, of Kewaskum, was called home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2024, at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, following a very courageous battle with cancer.   Eric was born on May 13, 1967, in West Bend to the late LeRoy and Gertrude (nee Schmidt) Schladweiler of Kewaskum.   Eric graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1985.   His life was filled with keeping busy. He helped on the family farm most of his life, also helping his brothers with their farm work – which he loved to do. At the same time as he was helping with farm work, he also worked at several different businesses including Bolen’s Inc. in Port Washington, TP Concrete in Fredonia, and most recently TNT Enterprises in Random Lake.   Eric was passionate about his gardening skills, which included growing organic sweet corn, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, squash, cauliflower, cabbage, watermelon, and other vegetables. He enjoyed watching the Packers football team, going to car races, collecting and restoring antique tractors, making wood for his wood stove, and simply being outdoors.   Those Eric leaves behind to cherish his memory include his siblings; Gary (Doris) Schladweiler of Kewaskum, Susan (Steven) Cotter of Waldo, Judy (Greg) Melius of Batavia, Liz (Steve) Weyker of Fredonia, Jeff (Teresa) Schladweiler of Kewaskum, and Jane (Brian) Ries of Lomira; is furthered survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.    In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jacob and Elizabeth (nee Schneider) Schladweiler; maternal grandparents, Henry and Clementine (nee Albinger) Schmidt.   VISITATION: Eric’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., at St. Michael Catholic Church, 8883 Forest View Road, Kewaskum, WI.   SERVICE: Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Eric will follow visitation at 11 a.m. with Father Patrick Magnor officiating the service.    BURIAL: Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery located to the south of the church.   The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for their care and compassion.   Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Eric’s arrangements. Ellis W. Krahn

Ellis W. Krahn


   Ellis W. “Ollie” Krahn, 92, of Kewaskum, formerly of Beechwood, passed away on October 8, 2024, at Froedtert West Bend Hospital.   Ollie was born on October 28, 1931, in Beechwood, the son of the late Ervin and Marie (nee Kreutzinger) Krahn. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in the 39th Infantry Scout Dog Platoon and worked as a cook.   Ollie was a member of the Triangle B Post #193 in Beechwood, Batavia, and Boltonville and he was also fortunate enough to go on the honor flight to celebrate his service. Following his service, he hauled milk for Beechwood Cheese Factory, worked at Gilson and farmed.   On February 16, 1966, he was united in marriage to Monica Przybylowski in Sheboygan and her family became his. They ran the Lake Seven Resort and were the founders of the Night Fliers Snowmobile Club. Farming was the love of his life where he spent many hours working in the fields.    Those Ollie leaves behind to cherish his memory include his daughters, Christine (Richard) Matthies and Leslie (Ron) Scheid; grandchildren, Andy (Lisa) Matthies, Richard “Trey” Clark, Breanne Clark; great-grandchildren, Rebecca (Justin) Rabehl, Brice Matthies, Abby Matthies, and Taylor Dolata; siblings, Shirley Mull, Sylvester (Jean) Krahn, Neil (Barbara) Krahn, Karen (Raymond) Borchert; sisters-in-law, Doris Krahn and Sandy Krahn; brother-in-law, Walter (Sue) Przybylowski and Sylvester Stern; many nieces, nephews, and friends.   In addition to his parents, Ollie was preceded in death by his wife, Monica, and her son, John “Hans” Zwick; grandson, Bradley Matthies; his siblings, Adrian Krahn, Gaylord (Margie) Krahn, Eugene (Annie) Krahn, Wesley Krahn, Dianna Bellin, Donna Wimmer, Eleanor Stern and an infant brother, Ronald Krahn.   VISITATION: Ollie’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 215 Forest Avenue, in Kewaskum on Friday, Oct. 18, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.   SERVICE: A service for Ollie will be held at 3 p.m. at the funeral home in Kewaskum on Friday, Oct. 18, with Rev.    Bette Jayne Nel­son, 69, of Camp­bell­sport passed away com­fort­ably in her sleep on Sun­day, Sept. 22, 2024, at The Kathy Hos­pice in West Bend fol­low­ing a two-and-a-half year bat­tle with can­cer.   She was born in Mil­wau­kee, to Dar­rel Irwin Conaway and Nona Al­berta (nee Guerin) Conaway.   She was mar­ried to the love of her life, Jef­frey Thomas Nel­son on July 18, 1987, in Mc­Carty Park, West Allis.   Bette was a lov­ing Wife, Mother, and Grand­mother. She en­joyed cross­word puz­zles and word games, craft­ing pro­jects, and played a mean game of crib­bage. Pos­sessed of a sharply sar­cas­tic tongue, she was fiercely witty and in­tel­li­gent, as well as quick with a joke. Bette had a keen un­der­stand­ing and love of lan­guage which she al­ways strove to share with oth­ers.   Bette worked for the Wis­con­sin Dyslexia In­sti­tute and was a ded­i­cated teacher for many years. She briefly served as the Di­rec­tor and after step­ping down from that role, she pri­vately tu­tored stu­dents until her re­tire­ment in 2006.   She leaves be­hind many who will cher­ish her mem­ory, in­clud­ing her son, Christo­pher Nel­son and daugh­ter, Danielle Mader; grand­chil­dren, Jacob Mader, Ryan Mader, Olivia Mader and Ben Mader; broth­ers, Brian (Mary) Conaway and Bart (Mary) Conaway; her sis­ter-in-law and long­time friend, Linda Gay­hart; broth­ers-in-law, Kevin Nel­son, Rob (Sue) Nel­son, Eric (MaryLu) Nel­son, and Kurt (April) Nel­son; Bette was very close with her sis­ter Bar­bara's chil­dren, Mike (Cheryl) Freisleben, Kelly (Craig) Wolfe, Joe (Gina) Freisleben; as well as many more nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and close friends and ex­tended fam­ily. In ad­di­tion to her human fam­ily, she also leaves be­hind two very dis­traught cats, Larry and Moe, who al­ready miss her dearly.   Bette was pre­ceded in death by her lov­ing hus­band, Jef­frey Nel­son; her par­ents; sis­ters, Bon­nie and Bar­bara; brother, Blake; brother-in-law, Terry Wom­ack; sis­ter-in-law, Deb­bie Nel­son; and niece, Nicole As­selin.   A cel­e­bra­tion of Bette's life will be held on Sat­ur­day, Oct. 5, in West Bend.
