Doris Irma Kerr


   Doris Irma Kerr passed away on December 27, 2021, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Mayville.   Doris was born on August 27, 1931, in the Town of Burnett, to Elkert and Irma (Klemp) Maaske. She was a graduate of Horicon High School with the class of 1949.   Doris was united in marriage to Lawrence F. Bogenschneider on October 18, 1949.  He preceded her in death on February 12, 1971. On December 8, 1974, she was united in marriage to Russell Kerr at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon.   Doris was a lifetime member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church.   She loved working on her flower gardens, going to rummage sales, reading, working on jig saw puzzles, volunteering at Bethesda Lutheran Store in Horicon, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her eleven great-grandchildren. Doris retired from John Deere Horicon Works after 25 years of service.   Doris is survived by Steven (Luann) Bogenschneider of Horicon, Dale (Tania) Bogenschneider of Charlotte, NC, Larry (Nancy) Bogenschneider of Mayville and stepson, Dennis Kerr of Horicon; her grandchildren, Andrea (Evan) Merkes, Tyler (Hollie) Bogenschneider, Jay (Katelyn) Bogenschneider, Shana (Brandon) Ward, Krista Bogenschneider, Corey (Blythe Rowe) Bogenschneider and eleven great-grandchildren; two nieces, Dianne Witte and Debbie (Terry) Bauer.   She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lawrence Bogenschneider; her second husband, Russell Kerr; a sister, Eileen Witte; and brother-in-law, Harvey Witte of Burnett.   Visitation was held at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Horicon, on Tuesday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.   A funeral service began at 11 a.m. with the Rev.  Daniel J. Sheila Krueger

Sheila Krueger


   Sheila Krueger, of Pickerel, died suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at home. She was 66 years old.   She was born on September 4, 1955, in Waupun, a daughter of Elmer and Myra (Adelmeyer) Steger.   She married Norman Krueger on November 16, 1974, at St. John Lutheran Church in Mayville. He survives.   She was a graduate of Lomira High School in 1973.   She was employed at West Bend Company as an assembly worker.   Sheila and her family moved to Pickerel in 1986. She was a hard working individual who worked in housekeeping at local resorts, followed by employment at Bemis Manufacturing in Laona, Seidl Farms, Polar Manufacturing and retiring from Waste Management in 2008.   She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pickerel.   She took pride caring for her yard and flower gardening.   Survivors including her husband are a daughter, Nicole (Terry) Kubiaczyk, Deerbrook; a son, Eric Krueger, Pickerel; two grandchildren, Chelsea and Alexzander; a sister, Gail (Rich) Christian, Theresa; and her husband's siblings, Myron (Kathy) Krueger, Marilyn (Donald) Kertscher, Lois (Rick) Gundrum, Darlene (Jer) Luehring.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three favorite dogs, Suzy, Max, Ruby Sue.A funeral service was held on Friday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Pickerel with Rev. Richard Kelm officiating.   Visitation was Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo, and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at church.   Online condolences at www.bradleyfh.com

Janet “Jan” Schuman, 78, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021. Jan was born to Caroline (Ludwig) and Edward Tuttle on January 23, 1943, in Fond du Lac County, where she spent her childhood years. She was baptized on February 23, 1943, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee. She made confirmation of her Christian faith on June 30, 1957, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Campbellsport. She graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1961.Prior to marriage to the love of her life, Kenneth “Ken” Schuman on September 6, 1969, she worked at A.C. Nielsen Company in Fond du Lac.After marriage, she moved to Dodgeville, where Ken was employed with GTE. They later moved to Portage and Sun Prairie following Ken’s career with the telephone industry.They were blessed with four children, Mara Demien (Kent), Mark Schuman (Tina), Joni Rupnow (Scott) and Jill Winters (Jeremy). Surviving are grandchildren, Luke Boland, Peter and Andrew Demien, Christopher, Johnathan and Emmanuel Schuman, Caroline Hernandez, Carina Rohn, Jack, Malachi, Wilhelm and Rose Rupnow; great-grandchildren, Benito and Nayeli Hernandez. Also surviving are her husband; two siblings, Dale (Shirley) Tuttle and Kathy Tuttle; sisters-in-law, Carol Carey, Mary Ann Tuttle and Audrey (David) Weed and her uncle and godfather, Francis Tuttle, as well as several nieces, nephews, penpals and friends.Her favorite hobby was writing to pen pals. She en - joyed traveling, having been blessed to visit all 50 states and several foreign countries.She was a faithful member of Eastside Lutheran Church for over 43 years, serving on Mission Guild, ushering, church cleaning and other tasks.She volunteered for over 25 years at Twice Is Nice, a volunteer run thrift store which supports Lakeside Lutheran.Christian Education was important to her. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Eastside Lutheran School, Madison; Lakeside Lutheran High School, Lake Mills, or a charity of your choice.Funeral services were held at Eastside Lutheran Church, 2310 Independence Lane, Madison, WI 53704 on Monday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. with visitation from 9 a.m. until services. Luncheon followed. Burial took place at Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.

Kenneth Gordon Raymond


Kenneth Gordon Raymond, age 91, of Port Washington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at his home in Harbor Campus. Ken was born on January 20, 1930, in Campbellsport to the late Gordon and Edna (nee Scheurman) Raymond. He attended Mission House College which later became Lakeland College in Sheboygan from 1947-1949. After college, Ken attended Evangelical Deaconess Hospital School of XRay Technology in Milwaukee and worked at Evangelical Deaconess Hospital in Milwaukee until he was drafted into the United States Army from 1952-1954.Upon his return from the service, Ken became the Chief Technologist at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock, TX from 1955-1956. He then served as the Chief Technologist at Medical Professional X-Ray Howard R. Hancock M.D. Radiologist in Lubbock from 1956-1974.During his career, Ken was a member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). He was a past president and life member of the South Plains Society of Radiologic Technologists in Lubbock and a past president, board member and committeeman of the Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists. Ken was also a longtime member and past president of Toastmasters.While in Lubbock, Ken was united in marriage to Irma Hanna (nee Barnett) on August 20, 1959. Together they were married 66 years before Irma preceded him in death on March 22, 2015. When Ken's father became ill, Ken and Irma moved to Highland Park, IL and Ken worked at Highland Park Hospital so he could be closer to his family. Upon his retirement, Ken moved back to Wisconsin with Irma and together they split their time between Brownsville and Weslaco, TX. Eventually they moved to Fredericksburg, TX so Irma could be near her family until her passing when Ken moved to Port Washington to be near his mother.In his free time, Ken enjoyed traveling and in 2018 was even able to participate in an Honor Flight. He also enjoyed photography, fishing, golfing, and watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers.Ken is survived by his sister, Carol (Leo) Neis of Cedarburg; a nephew, Brent (Tori) Neis of Saukville; great-nephews, Connor and Hayden Neis of Saukville; a step-son, John (Sherry) Hanna of Fredericksburg; a step-grandson, Thad (Sharron) Hanna of Fredericksburg; two step-granddaughters, Charlyn (Doug) McKinney of Springfield, MO and Stace (Kindred) Hilt of Richmond, TX; other relatives and friends.In addition to his parents and his wife Irma, Ken was preceded in death by a step-son, Omer Jerome “Jerry” Hanna.A graveside service in remembrance of Ken is being planned for this coming spring at Union Cemetery in Campbellsport.The family would like to thank the staff of Harbor Campus in Port Washington for the wonderful care that was given to Ken and his family.The Twohig Funeral Home of Campbellsport has been entrusted with Ken's arrangements. Marvin E. Tuttle


Marvin E. Tuttle, 77, of Eden went home to his Lord on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was born in Fond du Lac on February 19, 1944, the son of Edward and Caroline (nee Ludwig) Tuttle. Marvin served in the U.S. Army from June 1962 to September 1965. On August 16, 1969, he married Mary Ann Neckuty at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Campbellsport.Marvin worked at Mercury Marine for 39-½ years and in retirement he drove cars for Van Horn in Lomira. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran church in Fond du Lac and the Bintzler-Waehler American Post #347 in Lomira. Marvin was a life - long member of Good Fellows Rod & Gun Club and the NRA. He also was a member of Ducks Unlimited for 50 years where he served as the Fond du Lac County Zone Chairman. He was a behind-the-scenes guy for Ducks Unlimited. He was an avid turkey and deer hunter and operated a tree farm where he spent many hours pruning and tending his trees. Marvin was a special “Appa” for his granddaughter and great-grandson.Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; daughter, Melissa (Shane) Knueppel; granddaughter, Britany Smith; great-grandson, Hyde “Eddie” Kroener; sisters, Jan (Ken) Schuman and Kathy Tuttle; brother, Dale (Shirley) Tuttle; sister-in-law, Carol Carey; and uncle, Francis Tuttle. Further surviving are in-laws, David (Mary) Neckuty, Joanne (Robert) Backhaus, Suzanne (Pete) Kahut, Diane (Michael) Soffa, Pete (Jane) Neckuty and Ronald Neckuty; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Royal and Gordon Carey; infant sister, Iris; in-laws, Peter and Eleanor Neckuty; and stepmother, Bernice Tuttle.Visitation was held Saturday, December 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 606 Forest St.. Fond du Lac. followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. at the Church. Rev James Borgwardt officiated and military honors followed outside the church. Joseph Anthony Marchant


Joseph Anthony Marchant, 88, of the Town of Auburn, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at Agnesian SSM Health in Fond du Lac, with his beloved family gathered around him. He was born at home in the Town of Auburn, the son of Wayne and Rose (nee Ferber) Marchant on August 20, 1933. Joe was a Class of 1951 Campbellsport High School graduate and attended Brigham Young University, Utah.He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957, where he met the love of his life, Patricia Wallace. They married on April 10, 1957, in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. Joe, Pat and family enjoyed life on the Marchant Family Century farm in the Town of Auburn.Joe was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fond du Lac and served in many church callings. He served for many years on the Fond du Lac County Board, and the Town of Auburn Board. Joe snow plowed for the Town Auburn, maintained the Auburn Cemetery and drove semi for many years for Gordy and Charles Poch and Beine Transport.Most important to Joe was spending time with his family. He is survived by his children: Colleen (John) Reigle, Nadine (Larry) Lendved, Wayne (Dawn) Marchant, Renae Braatz, Dawn (Jeff) Bengel, Tony (Linda) Marchant, and Tim Marchant; his 24 grandchildren: Randy (Betsy), Ryan (Ashlyn), Rick (fiance Lindsey), Rose (Dan), Julie (Paul), Jessica (Terry), Jonathon (Alex), Nick (Jess), Samantha (Andy), Paul (Stephanie), Louie (Nikki), Alex, Barry (Olivia), Joseph (Danielle), Michael, David, Hailey, Kristy (Sam), Wesley (Brittany), Kordell (Chloe), Nicole (Riley), Patrick, Rebecca, Bennett and Erica. He and Pat were blessed with 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by sister, Lola Ebert; brother-in-law, Robert (Ros) Wallace; other relatives and friends.Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Patricia, who passed March 4, 2021; daughters, Catherine and Cheryl; grandson, Daniel Berger; and Leah Reigle; parents, Wayne and Rose Marchant; inlaws, Charles and Catherine Wallace; brother and sister-in-law, William and Alice Marchant; brother-inlaw, Allen Ebert; and in-laws, Stella (Bert) Scrivener, Jack (Mabel) Wallace and Frank (Jessie)Wallace.Visitation for Joe was held Sunday, December 19, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Mary J. Herriges (nee Marx), 82, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum surrounded by her loving family.Mary was born May 19, 1939, in Fond du Lac to Clarence and Gladys Marx (nee Ours).She was a 1958 graduate of Campbellsport High School.Mary was united in marriage to Leander F. Herriges on July 25, 1959, at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Campbellsport.After marriage, the couple moved to the Town of Wayne where Mary became Leander’s life long part - ner on the family farm for 61 years. She pitched in doing whatever was needed, picking stones, feeding calves, raking hay, along with endless daily chores while keeping house and raising three children. In addition to farming, she was also employed by the Kewaskum School District for 16 years. During this time, she formed many life-long friendships which have remained up until her time of death. Mary was like the energizer bunny – always on the go, until she couldn’t.Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Parish (by way of St. Bridget). She sang in the choir for St. Bridget’s for over 25 years. She was also a member of the St. Bridget Alter Society, and was a Wayne Crusader 4-H Leader.Mary was an optimist; she saw the best in everyone and everything. She loved to have fun and laugh. She enjoyed shaking dice, playing crazy card games, scratching off a lottery ticket, and playing the slot machines. Mary enjoyed her travels with Leander to Germany, Florida, and Las Vegas. It was the simple things in life that made her most happy, a beautiful sunset, a gentle rain to ease a draught, the purr of a kitten, a kitchen full of family and friends, a cold beer at the end of the day, and most of all spending time with her children and granddaughters.Those left behind to cherish her memories and good times include her three children, Jackie (John) Burtard of Kewaskum, John (Julie) Herriges of Town of Wayne, and Jim (Tina) Herriges of the Town of Wayne; three granddaughters, Chelsea Herriges, Hailey Herriges, and Courtney (Dustin) Beth; two step-grandchildren, Amber (Ryan) Koll and Josh Burtard; three sisters, Joan Chittum, Geraldine (Raymond) Bodden, and Patricia Marx; sisters-in-law, Barbara Marx and Bethana Herriges; a brother-in-law, Raymond Bodden of Kewaskum, and many nieces, relatives, and friends.In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Leander; her brother, Clarence Marx; two sisters, Elaine (John) Krug and Charlene (Loren) Phillips; sister-in-law, Helen (Joe) Ruplinger; brothers-in-law, Jim Chittum, John, Krug, Raynor (Patricia) Herriges, Linus Herriges, and Allen Herriges.A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 4:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main St., Kewaskum.The family greeted relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until time of Mass. Helen Thelen


Helen (Felten) Thelen passed away peacefully in her home on the afternoon of Monday, December 13, 2021, at the age of 81. Her four children had the privilege of caring for Helen in her final days after she suffered a stroke on December 4, and they surrounded her with love until the time of her death. Helen was born in October 1940 in New Fane and was raised on a dairy farm, where she learned the value of working hard. She married Tony in March of 1962, which is when they moved to West Bend. Early in her working life, Helen was employed at the West Bend Company, and later at Serigraph, Inc. for 25 years, many of which were in their quality control department. After retiring from Serigraph, she worked at Younkers in Fond du Lac where she enjoyed interacting with customers and buying her family gifts with her discount.Helen showed her love by doing — whether it was by caring for her husband, Tony, during his decline from Alzheimer’s; or for her children and grandchildren by helping them move, clean, attending nearly every event in which they participated, and so much more; or for her faith by cleaning St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Ashford for so many years. Her family and loved ones are grateful to have felt her grace and love throughout their lives. As her youngest grandchild, Oscar (age nine) reflected, “Grandma always did everything for our family.”Helen is survived by her loving, devoted husband of nearly 60 years, Anthony (Tony); their four children, Sharon (Scott Krahn) Thelen, Dennis (Iva) Thelen, Sandy (Tim) Leitheiser, and Lisa (Tim) Nieskes; her six grandchildren, Matt (Katy Covert) Leitheiser, Maggie Leitheiser, Katherine (Michael) Hecimovich, Jacob Leitheiser, Robert Thelen, and Oscar Nieskes; her great-grandson, Cameron Hecimovich, and another expected in early 2022; her sisters-in-law, Judy Felten and Joyce Thelen; and many nieces and nephews – several of which she delighted in developing deeper relationships with over the last several years; as well as other relatives and friends.Helen is predeceased by her parents, John and Elizabeth (Bingen) Felten; her sister, Marie (Henry) Fellenz; her brothers, Wilmer Felten and Robert Felten; her sisters-in-law, Agnes (John) Burns and Adela Baumhardt; and her brothers-in-law, Norbert Thelen and Joseph (Mary Lou) Thelen.A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thurs - day, December 23, at noon at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend, with no visitation before or after mass.
