Jefferey Muenchow


   Jefferey V. Muenchow (AJ), left this earth to enter the gates of heaven on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021.    Jeff was born on March 10, 1953, in Beaver Dam, the son of Glen and Pearl (Schwartz) Muenchow.   He married Karen Buechel, on February 15, 1975, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Horicon, where he was a member until his passing.    Jeff was a lifelong resident of Horicon, graduating from Horicon High School in 1971.   He worked at John Deere for 30 years, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed retirement and kept busy by making memories with his family, fishing, hunting, fixing things in Doug Koepsell’s garage, going to classic car shows, catching up with friends at Rock River Tap and helping anyone that needed it. He had a great sense of humor and brought laughter wherever he went. His favorite job in retirement was being Grandpa to his “Little Princesses” Cailyn and Maisie who brought him more joy than he had ever known.   Survivors include his wife, Karen Muenchow; his children, Tina (Chad) Beres of Kewaskum and Alan (Christy Jewell) Muenchow of Brown Deer; two grandchildren, Cailyn (10) and Maisie (8); two brothers, Jim Muenchow and Craig (Amy) Muenchow, both of Horicon; one sister, Gloria (Brad) Ward of Madison; three brothers-in-law, Emil (Esther) Buechel of Iron Ridge, Raymond Buechel of Milwaukee, David (Jill) Buechel of Horicon; four sisters-in-law, Carol Jacobs of FL, Blondie (Jerry) Green of Hartford, Shirley (Al) Krueger of FL, and Phyllis (Ernie) Gerth of Horicon; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; and his in-laws, Mamie and John Buechel; and other relatives.   A funeral service for Jeff took place on Saturday, Nov. 27, at noon at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon with the Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. A visitation was held Saturday, Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. to noon at the church. Inurnment took place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.   Memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church.   Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville served the family. Paul Arnold Hartmann

Paul Arnold Hartmann


 Paul Arnold Hartmann, 83, of Mayville was called home to be with the Lord on November 16, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.Paul was born on January 29, 1938, in Fond du Lac to Arnold and Stella Hartmann (Desimowich).   He was united in marriage to Joanne Mayer on September 3, 1960, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy.    Paul graduated from Mayville High School. He enlisted in the Navy and was a Petty Officer First Class and worked in the engine room. Paul drove forklift at Purity Cheese in Mayville, then was a city mail carrier in Mayville, then worked for Giddings & Lewis in Fond du Lac, and later Paul was hired as meat inspector for the State of Wisconsin. He went on to get various certifications to inspect meat processing plants around Wisconsin.   Paul loved his family and being Mr. Fix-It. He could fix anything or teach you how to get along without it. Sometimes what he fixed was better than new when Paul finished with it. He was a “gearhead” and enjoyed his old car collection, going to car shows, and anything to do with automobiles past and present.    Paul’s main adoration in life was his wife, Joanne. She held it all together. Sadly, Joanne passed away in 2001. Paul and Joanne had a large collection of antiques, especially clocks and dolls. Paul and Joanne are now reunited in heaven and will be together forever.   Those Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory include his three daughters, Chris (Don) Wondra, Paula (Bruce) Stoy, and Mary (Al) Erke; three grandchildren, Katie and Nick Wondra and Paul Erke; brother, Dave (Marge) Hartmann; sisters-in-law, Adeline (Bob) Stommel and Mary Jane (the late Gene) Polster. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.    In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne; sisters-in-law, Margaret (Francis) Hilbert and Anita (Larry) Brockman; and brother-in-law, Leo Mayer.   Mass of Christian Burial for Paul will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (112 S German St., Mayville, WI 53050). Nicholas Christo­pher Hughes, 16, of Mayville, passed away No­vem­ber 1, 2021, as a re­sult of an auto ac­ci­dent.    Nicholas was born to Michael and Tina Hughes on May 25, 2005.   He at­tended St John’s School and was cur­rently a ju­nior at Mayville High School, where he par­tic­i­pated in sports.   Nicholas loved to make peo­ple laugh and could get you to pick your head up and smile even if you were down. He made you feel like a lit­tle kid again when­ever you were with him. He would do any­thing he could just to make you happy. When­ever you saw him, he would al­ways give you that lit­tle smile.   Nicholas is sur­vived by his par­ents, Michael and Tina; his big brother, John; his grand­par­ents, Jeff and Mary Hughes, San­dra Wylie and Ann Wylie; his aunts and un­cles, Denice and Randy Sem­ling, Mark and Susan Hughes, Wendie and Shane Lev­eille, and Lau­ren Wylie. Also by his cousins, Sean Sem­ling, Luke Lev­eille, Kate Hughes, Caleb Lev­eille, Jenna Lev­eille, Keira Hughes and Oliver Sem­ling.   Nicholas was pre­ceded in death by his grand­fa­thers, John Wylie and Greg Hughes; and his great-grand­par­ents, Arnold and Teresa Hoch, Bruno and Eleanor Choin­ski, John and Ruth Wylie, and Urban and Bev Car­lin.    Vis­i­ta­tion for Nicholas will be held on Tues­day, Nov. 16, from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. at St. John Ev. Gloria Valle


 Glo­ria Valle, 89, of Brownsville, passed away peace­fully at Theda Clark Med­ical Cen­ter in Neenah on Sat­ur­day, Nov. 6, 2021.   Glo­ria was born Yvonne Glo­ria Kropp in Fond du Lac on July 22, 1932, to Duward and Izetta (Garb) Kropp, and was raised in Wa­ter­town.   She mar­ried the love of her life, Al­bert Valle, on April 23, 1949, and they cel­e­brated their 70th wed­ding an­niver­sary in April 2019. Since her mar­riage she has lived the rest of her life in Nas­bro, where she was now the last sole res­i­dent.   Glo­ria was a home­maker but also, when her chil­dren were young, ran the local gro­cery store for the res­i­dents and work­ers in Nas­bro. After the store closed, she worked sev­eral years at the can­ning fac­tory in Brownsville until she was hired as a cook at Hope Nurs­ing Home in Lomira. She be­came head cook and worked there for al­most 25 years until she re­tired.   Glo­ria was a very hard work­ing, but feisty, fun-lov­ing lady, who was not afraid to try or do any­thing, and was ad­mired by all who knew her. She was an ex­cel­lent cook, and her fam­ily es­pe­cially en­joyed all the Ital­ian dishes her mother-in-law taught her to make. She was very styl­ish and loved to dress up and had her hair and nails done reg­u­larly. She was gifted with the abil­ity to cro­chet, knit and em­broi­der, and made nu­mer­ous afghans, baby afghans, and em­broi­dered tow­els and pil­low-cases which she gifted to her chil­dren and grand­chil­dren through the years. Glo­ria suf­fered with many health is­sues, hav­ing en­dured over 25 dif­fer­ent pro­ce­dures and surg­eries but al­ways kept a pos­i­tive at­ti­tude and never com­plained. She en­joyed going out to eat with the good friends she made from her for­mer TOPS club, and she loved her cats, watch­ing the birds on the win­dow feed­ers, and watch­ing Dr. Pol. She was also an avid Pack­ers and Brew­ers fan and en­joyed watch­ing them play, shout­ing at the TV when they did poorly.   Glo­ria is sur­vived by her five chil­dren, Daniel (Mar­cia) of Brownsville, Mary (Roger) Won­dra of Lomira, James (Joanne) of Moun­tain, Robert (Jo­lene) of Brownsville, and DuWard (Rachelle) of Pick­ford, MI. She is also sur­vived by 14 grand­chil­dren, 35 great-grand­chil­dren, and one great-great-grand­child; fur­ther sur­vived by two sis­ters, Mar­ion King and Betty Keeser, both of Wa­ter­town, and many nieces and nephews.    Pre­ced­ing Glo­ria in death was her hus­band Al­bert in De­cem­ber 2019; her par­ents; her fa­ther and mother-in-law, John and Stella Valle; brother and sis­ter-in-law, Bruno and Shirley Valle; sis­ters, Vir­ginia Pow­ers and Kath­leen Ready; broth­ers, Don­ald Zillmer and Ken­neth Zillmer; broth­ers-in-law, Ed­ward King, Jerry Keeser, Thomas Ready, and James Pow­ers, and other fam­ily mem­bers and friends.   Vis­i­ta­tion for Glo­ria will be held on Thurs­day, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at St. An­drew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy.   A Mass of Chris­t­ian Bur­ial will fol­low with the Rev. Thomas Bier­sack pre­sid­ing. Franklin “Frank” A. Mueller

Franklin “Frank” A. Mueller


   Franklin “Frank” A. Mueller, 87, of Lomira entered Eternal Life on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021.    He was born on April 8, 1934, to Jerome and Loretta (nee Schmidt) Mueller in the Town of Addison. Frank attended Nenno Schools.   Early on, Frank realized his life’s passion and started working on the family farm as a young boy. As he grew up, he was drafted and honorably served in the United States Army, from September 1956 until July 1958.   Shortly after his return home, he was united in marriage to his beloved, Joyce Roethle, on May 2, 1959.   Frank and Joyce accomplished his lifelong goal of owning his farm and purchased their farmstead in 1967, located just outside of Lomira. He spent 55 years passionately farming, taking care of the cows, watching the crops grow, and collecting Minneapolis Moline tractors. Throughout those years, he was able to farm with his son and grandsons, who continue to farm it today.   During his retirement, he could still be found working in the shop or driving a tractor around the farm. Nothing sparked a twinkle in his eye more than seeing his great-grandkids on the farm. After church on Sundays, he enjoyed a warm meal at Ponderosa in Hartford. Frank especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.    Those Frank leaves behind to cherish his memory and carry on his farming legacy include his son, Mark (Tina) Mueller; four grandchildren, Scott (Natasha) Mueller, Lee (Emma) Mueller, Brittany (Michael) Merk, and Kelly Mueller; seven great-grandchildren, Vaeda and Jaxon Mueller, Ivy and Oliver Mueller, Dekker and Millie Merk, and Aiden Mueller; a sister, Mary (Vern) Kreuser; three brothers, Jerome (Joanne) Mueller, Walter (Carole) Mueller, and Carroll (Janice) Mueller; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Mueller; and his brother, Harold (Diane) Mueller.    A Funeral Service in remembrance of Frank will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 699 Milwaukee St., Lomira.    The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.    The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Frank’s arrangements. Eileen Ramthun


   Eileen Ramthun (Hansen), age 65 years, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2021.   Eileen was born on October 19, 1956, in Kewaskum to Edward and Florence Hansen (Schultz).   She was united in marriage to Harold Ramthun on November 22, 1975, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church in West Bend.   Eileen graduated from Kewaskum High School. She worked for B.C. Ziegler for 34 years, in addition to helping on the family farm. Eileen loved gardening, tending her flowers, attending craft shows, and being with all of her nieces and nephews.   Those Eileen leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Harold; sister, Kathryn (Tim) Danielson; brother, Gary (Brenda) Hansen; brothers-in-law, Eugene Weiskopf and Kenneth (Carol) Ramthun; and sisters-in-law, Catherine Ramthun and Rosie (Rich) Reindl. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.    In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Weiskopf.   The family greeted relatives and friends on Sunday, Oct. 24, at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in Kewasum from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. Visitation continued on Monday, Oct. 25, at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum from 10 a.m. until time of service.    A Funeral Service was held on Monday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ with Pastor Eric Kirkegaard as officiant. Ronald James “Radar” Majerus

Ronald James “Radar” Majerus


 Ronald James “Radar” Majerus, 74, of Brownsville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.   He was born on May 17, 1947, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, the son of Arthur and Evelyn (nee Gruenwald) Majerus. Ron was confirmed on April 29, 1962, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Knowles.   Ron grew up working on the family farm and his love of animals showed. He worked for many years at Majerus Farms and cherished the many friends as family. Along with his duties in the barn, Ron mowed many lawns. He had a love of gardening, flowers, decorating for the seasons and collecting John Deere items. He liked to go to church dinners, Dino’s and the Feedmill for the Specials of the Day. Ron didn’t pass up an invite to go along to the casino. He had a great sense of humor. Ron had a love for his family and was a caring, honest man; he will be greatly missed by all.   Survivors include his brothers, Kenneth (Diane) Majerus of Campbellsport, and Gary (special friend Cheryl Grosnick) Majerus of Fond du Lac; sister, Lois Majerus of West Bend; brother-in-law, Bob Smith of Wausau; nieces and nephews, Betty (John) Meier, Mary Neitzel, Peggy (Jeff) Wendt, Julie (Nathan) Wagenknecht and Mike Majerus; four great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.   Ron was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Loraine Smith, Linda Majerus and Luann Majerus.   Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport and on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Knowles, (W2169 South Ave, Lomira, WI 53048).   A funeral service for Ron was held Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church with Rev. Matthew Kuske officiating. Sylvia “Tibbie” Bohn

Sylvia “Tibbie” Bohn


   Sylvia “Tibbie” Bohn, nee Matenaer, 93, of West Bend, was called home to be with our Lord on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, after struggling with Alzheimer’s disease for several years.   She was born on January 14, 1928, in Kewaskum to the late Joseph and Florence (nee Berres) Matenaer.   As a child, Tibbie lived on a large farm in Myra. She attended Holy Angels Grade School and graduated from West Bend High School.    On July 3, 1948, she was united in marriage to Leroy “Lee” Bohn at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend.   Tibbie and Lee were married for over 65 years, until Lee passed away on February 12, 2014.   Early on Tibbie worked as a stenographer for Schmidt Funeral Home and then in the produce department at Sentry Foods in West Bend. She was most proud working as the “plant lady” at her son Patrick’s flower shop, Bits N Pieces Floral, until the age of 83.   Tibbie was considered the Energizer Bunny and a dynamo by all who knew her. Her love and passions included being an active member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a Cub Scout leader and volunteered at The Threshold Inc. for many years.    Tibbie enjoyed camping with her family and the West Bend VagaBender camping group. She loved gardening, playing bridge, sewing, knitting, needlepoint and she reupholstered every piece of furniture in her house.   Mom was proud to be a mother of seven kids, a Granny to 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. We were all precious to her but she considered our brother, Stevie, a true gift from God. God knew we were the right family for Stevie and she was the right Mom. Even though Stevie took up a lot of her day, she always had time for each of us. Mom had a smile for everyone. She will be remembered for sharing her happiness, energy and her love for God.    She is survived by six children, Terry (Ruth) Bohn, Pat (Deb) Bohn, Diane (Alex) Ckonjevic, Ken (Sandy) Bohn, Jeff Bohn, and Mary (Doug) Bilgo; 13 grandchildren, Kerri jo (Bob) Patten, Stefanie Shierk, Kaitlin Bohn, Michael Bohn, Jason (Christine) Strebe, Cory (Stephanie) Strebe, Nick Bohn, Wesley (Lori) Bohn, Marina Bohn, Courtney Bohn, Kim (Tedi) Keceli, Whitney (Alex) Bretl, and Danielle (Kerry) Kopelke; 17 great-grandchildren, Evan and Elise Patten, Whitney (Mitch) Martin, Wilson Shierk, Devon, Ethan and Xander Strebe, Colin and Courtney Strebe, Edward Bohn, Elza, Elara, and Zara Keceli, Sawyer and Avery Bretl, and Colette and Lilah Kopelke; two sisters, Rita Dwyer and Ann Casper, a brother, Robert (Carol) Matenaer, five sisters-in-law, Ruth Bohn, Janice Matenaer, Joanne Bohn, Kitty Matenaer and Diane Pfister; a brother-in-law, Robert (Martha) Bohn; other relatives and many friends.   In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stevie Bohn; a sister, Beatrice (Leonard) Peter; four brothers, Joe (Euna) Matenaer, Paul Matenaer, Jerry Matenaer and James Matenaer; two sisters-in-law, Bernice (Richard) Kurowski and Janine Matenaer; six brothers-in-law, Charles Dwyer, Herman Casper, Eugene Bohn, Carl (Doris) Bohn, Donald Bohn and Walter (Helen) Bohn.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. 7th Ave., West Bend. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday at 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Arthur L. Schwarze

Arthur L. Schwarze


 Arthur L. Schwarze, 76, of Lexington, NE, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, at the Lexington Regional Health Center.   Arthur was born on November 8, 1944, in Beaver Dam, to Herman & Alice (Paronto) Schwarze.   He attended public schools in Kekoskee and Mayville and graduated from Mayville High School with the class of 1963.   Following High School, Arthur enlisted in the United States Navy for four years and also attended college classes. He was a field representative for various Ag Equipment companies.    On August 13, 1966, he was united in marriage to Jean Feucht at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville. They made their home in Mayville and three sons were blessed to this union, Benjamin, Thomas and Paul. They moved to various places in the Midwest where Arthur sold farm equipment. In 2005, they moved to Lexington, Nebraska where he worked for Kuhn/Knight Equipment. After retiring, Arthur had no trouble keeping himself busy.   Arthur had many hobbies during his time living in Lexington. His main interest was working on electronics. He also liked reading, wrenching, and carpentry. If it was broken, he could usually fix it. Arthur was also a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan.   He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington and was past Grand Knight of The Knights Of Columbus. He was proud to be an American, was a patriot and a God loving man.   He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Jean of Lexington; his three sons, Benjamin (Avigail) Schwarze of Savoy, IL, Thomas (Amber) Schwarze of Madison, and Paul Schwarze of Lincoln, NE; one brother, David Schwarze of Tomah; a sister-in-law, Rhoda Schwarze of Tucson, AZ; brother-in-law, Alex (Kuan) Feucht of Glendale, CA; and sister-in-law, Geri (Tim) Feucht- Bachhuber of Mayville; of as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.   Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ralph and Herman; and one sister, Eunice.   A Memorial Mass was held on Saturday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Jose Chavez officiating. There will be a time of sharing with friends and family from 10 a.m. until service time. The Mass was livestreamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page.   A Wake Service was held on Friday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Tim Stoner, reciting.   A memorial has been established in Arthur’s honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.   The family has chosen cremation.
