Mary Ellen Fog­a­rty, 76, of Hori­con, went to be with her Lord and Sav­ior on Tues­day, Jan. 24, 2023.   A memo­r­ial ser­vice for Mary will be held on Feb­ru­ary 3, at the Koepsell-Mur­ray Fu­neral Home in Beaver Dam, at 1 p.m. A vis­i­ta­tion for Mary will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.    Mary was born to Ralph and Murl Hutchins on July 11, 1946.   She was united in mar­riage to William Fog­a­rty on May 4, 1968, in Hazel Park, MI. To­gether they raised two daugh­ters.   She re­ceived a Bach­e­lor of Arts from Wayne State, MI and a Mas­ter’s in pas­toral min­istry from Mary­grove Col­lege, MI. Mary and Bill moved to Wis­con­sin in 2004 to be closer to their grand­chil­dren.    Mary was a mem­ber of Edge­wood Com­mu­nity Church in Waupun. While Mary never lead a con­gre­ga­tion, she en­joyed spread­ing God’s Word. Mary loved to make cards and send them to any­one whom she felt needed en­cour­age­ment. She had a soft spot for the shut-ins and made sure they knew she was think­ing about them often.    Mary loved to travel. Mary had a pas­sion for writ­ing. It was her writ­ing that helped get her through some of her final days, in which she com­piled two books.   Mary is sur­vived by her lov­ing daugh­ters, Jen­nifer (Brad) Freriks, and Amy (Bret) En­slen; six grand­chil­dren; her sis­ter, Patty Ar­se­nault; and brother Scott (Sandy) Hutchins.    Donald “Don” Arnold Collien, 86, of Lomira was called home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2023, at Christian Home in Waupun surrounded by his loving family.   Don was born on January 15, 1937, in Fond du Lac to Arnold and Genevieve Collien (Jaber).   He was united in marriage to Linda Jean Samp on August 5, 1967, at St. Mary’s in Fond du Lac. Linda passed away June 26, 2003.   Don graduated from Oakfield High School in 1955. He proudly served in the United States Army National Guard. Don owned and operated Don’s Tap in Brownsville for fifteen years. Then he owned and operated Collien Insurance for over forty years.    Don was an avid sportsman; he loved hunting, fishing, and coaching Little League Baseball, Brownsville Women’s Softball Team, and the Brownsville Rock River Team where he won coach of the year several times. He was a member of the Sportsmans Athletic Club, Ducks Unlimited, and Lions Club. Don was also an accomplished woodworker and gardener.   Those Don leaves behind to cherish his memory include his three children, Jeffrey (Lisa) Collien, Julie (Robert) Scharschmidt, and Jodi (Michael Jr.) Batzler; nine grandchildren, Ashley (Eric) Schmitz, Brooke (Derrick) Straks, Jaden Collien, Sydney Scharschmidt, Nicholas Scharschmidt, Allison Batzler, Nathan Batzler, and Griffin Batzler; eight great-grandchildren, Kailey Wegener, Leighton Schmitz, Kendyl Schmitz, Reid Schmitz, Rielyn Straks, Emerie Straks, Landon Wegener, and Isaiah Wegener.    Shirley M. Muche-Vollmer, 82, of Mayville, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at her son Scott’s home in Mayville surrounded by her family.   Shirley was born the daughter of Raymond and Evelyn (Milbrot) Walters on March 27, 1940.   She was a 1958 graduate of Mayville High School.   Shirley had worked various jobs throughout her life, such as Purity Cheese, Beatrice Cheese, and Mayville Metal.   Her greatest job was Grandma and she loved taking care of her family.   Shirley was united in marriage to Glenn Muche on August 2, 1958, and later married Claude Vollmer on November 26, 2010.   Shirley was an active member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville. She served her church on Altar Guild, Dorcas Society, quilting, and helped serve funeral luncheons for many years. Shirley was also a member of the Mayville Senior Center.   In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and bingo. Sports were important to her as well and she enjoyed rooting for the Brewers, Packers, and the Bucks. Shirley loved nature, birds, and driving around looking for deer. She was an excellent cook and baker and was always willing to bring a dish to pass. In later years, she enjoyed motorcycling and traveling with her husband.    On Jan­u­ary 16th, 2023, Mark Scott Hanni passed away.   Mark was born on May 3rd, 1968, in Beaver Dam, son of Harold and De­lores Hanni.   He was mar­ried to the love of his life Angie. Mark loved being a dad to Dylan, Spencer, Shelby, and their new puppy, Kai.   He en­joyed golf­ing and fish­ing with friends and fam­ily by his side. He and Angie loved trav­el­ing to­gether, as well as their week­end get­aways to their home in Lake Ar­row­head.   Mark spent most of his ca­reer at PS Sea­son­ing teach­ing and sell­ing to his many friends in the meat in­dus­try.    He was also a grad­u­ate of the UW-Madi­son Mas­ter Meat Crafter Pro­gram and en­joyed teach­ing oth­ers in the in­dus­try the craft of mak­ing sausage.    Abigail Kay Sauer ‘Abby’, 44, of Theresa, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee surrounded by her family.   Abby was born the daughter of Larry and Marcia (Damstra) Lubbert on October 6, 1978, in Columbus.   She was a graduate of Hartford High School.Abby honorably served her country in the US Army and served in Iraq from 2003 to 2005 as a combat medic and then continued her service in the national guard until 2008.    Abby was united in marriage to Mitch Sauer on June 8, 2013, in Pelican Lake.   She continued her nursing career at Hartford Hospital. Abby then took the position of Dodge County Public Health Officer during the pandemic and was remarkable in her position during an impossible public health emergency. Abby was currently employed at SSM Health in Beaver Dam in family practice as a triage nurse.   She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira and an active member of the Miller-Justman-Guelig American Legion Post #270 in Theresa, as well as, the Legion Auxiliary in Theresa.   Abby had a giant heart and would help anyone who asked. She was quick to volunteer and always gave a hundred percent in anything she took on. She was involved with the Lomira Booster Club and the Boy Scouts of America. She loved living an active lifestyle and enjoyed running, swimming, and biking. Abby also had a love for the outdoors and looked forward to camping trips. Travel also was near and dear and she was fortunate enough to travel to Germany, India, Greece, Ireland, Mexico, and Jamaica.    First and foremost for Abby was her love of family. She was always there for them, whether it be a wrestling tournament for her son, Warren, or to help her father split wood and bale hay. There was nothing that could stop her from being with those who she loved and always made sure that others felt that love as well.    Abby is survived by her husband, Mitch, of Theresa; her children, Warren and Veronica; her parents, Larry and Marcia Lubbert of Hartford; her siblings, Wyland Lubbert of Oshkosh, Otis Lubbert of Hustisford, Amanda (Shawn) Bartel of Aberdeen, SD, Julie (Rich) Steinbrink of Driftwood, TX., and Joshua (Kaiti) Lubbert of Rubicon; her half-sister, Stacy Robinson of York, PA; her-in-laws, Jim and Barb Sauer of Theresa; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.   She was preceded in death by her grandparents; brother-in-law, Andrew Sauer; and niece, Lexi Held.   A memorial service in memory of Abby will take place on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira with Pastor Molongo officiating.    Geraldine "Gerry" Weiss, 91, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023, at her current home, Hope Senior Living, in Lomira.   Geraldine was born on March 24, 1931, in the Town of Theresa to Richard and Amilda (Neumann) Fink.   She was a 1949 graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac.   She was united in marriage to Earl W. Weiss on May 27, 1951, at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Kekoskee. The couple farmed in the Town of Hubbard near Iron Ridge until Earl’s death on November 18, 2013. Gerry also worked at various part-time jobs through the years while raising their four children.   She was a faithful member of St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge, serving on the Ladies Aid for many years. She was a member of the Iron Ridge Fire Department Auxiliary, and a long-time member of Dodge County HCE (Homemakers).    Janet L. Puczylowski passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at the age of 69 years.    Janet was the beloved wife of Arthur Puczylowski of Horicon; loving sister of Brenda (Carlos) Martinez of Madison and Cheryl (Tom) King of Monkton, MD; dear aunt of Carlos (Sterling) Martinez of Marietta, GA, Tanya (Keith) Knauer of Madison, and Logan, Sophie and Ellie King of Monkton, MD; great-aunt of Penelope and Vincent Knauer; step-mom of Debby (Lonnie) Levans, Lisa (Daniel) Bruskiewitz and Tom Puczylowski, and step-grandma "Gram-Jan" of Jason Herrera, Matthew Levans and Elijah Bruskiewitz.    Judy A. Ravanelli, age 72, of Mayville, passed away peacefully at Kathy Hospice in West Bend on January 16, 2023, after a courageous battle with liver disease.   Judy was born the daughter of Stanley and Lyles (Rosin) Ojstrsek in Hartford on July 26, 1950.    Judy was united in marriage to Dale Ravanelli on January 6, 1973. She was so proud they were able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary together.   Over the years, she worked at the Golden Knight Supper Club and West Bend Company, before she started her farming career with Dale and their family. In her later years, she worked for the Hanke quarry before retiring in 2021.   After retirement, it was time to garden and smell the roses and enjoy some “Judy time”. She took great pride in making sure their farm was kept “just right”. You could often find her out mowing the lawn or gardening. Judy treasured the time she spent with her family and left a legacy that will be remembered and carried on by them.    Judy is survived by her husband, Dale, and their children, John (Carmen) Ravanelli, Dean (Shelly) Ravanelli, Tom (Jenny) Ravanelli, Tim (Lisa) Ravanelli, and Crystal Ravanelli; her grandchildren, Bryce Ravanelli, Brylee Ravanelli, Caleb Ravanelli, Dominick Ravanelli; step-grandchildren, Joe Kmiec, Jenna Nice, Brooke Nice; her siblings, Jean (Russ) Westphal, Stan (Betty) Ojstrsek, Fran (Barb) Ojstrsek, Sue (Scott) Cole; sisters-in-law, Jane Ojstrsek and Mary (Tom) Barnes; and brother-in-law, Vince (Judy) Strupp. Judy is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Lyles Ojstrsek; brothers, Larry and Mike Ojstrsek; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nick and Jo Ravanelli; and sister-in-law: Virjean Strupp.   A Mass of Christian Burial for Judy was held on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville with Rev.  Janet Rose Bastian (nee Dobberpuhl), 91, of West Bend, passed away on January 16, 2023, with her family by her side at The Woodlands Senior Park in Fond du Lac.   Janet was born on July 16, 1931, in the Town of Hubbard to the late Hilbert and Alice (Wagner) Dobberpuhl.   She married Burdet “Bud” Griep on December 9, 1950, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville. Bud passed away on September 17, 1957. She then married her second husband, Rufus Giese on July 1, 1972, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. Rufus passed away on December 22, 1983. She was united in marriage to Curtis Bastian on September 1, 1991, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. Curtis passed away on March 27, 2018.   Janet was a widow when she was 27 years old with four children under the age of six. When her children were young, she worked at Grocery and Dime stores in Mayville and also worked at Purity Cheese in Mayville. She then worked at the West Bend Company for 22 years.   Janet was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville until 1970 when she moved to West Bend and joined St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church where she remained a member until her death.   She enjoyed traveling around the United States, tours to Hawaii, Alaska, and several trips to Germany. She was a member of the “We Love to Dance” polka club and enjoyed spending summers at East Shore Resort on Rolling Stone Lake for 16 years. Janet was a social butterfly and liked to keep busy crocheting, playing Bingo, cards, visiting some Wisconsin casinos, and planning family events and reunions. She always looked forward to taking trips to Minnesota to visit family, especially her cousin Marion, who was also widowed at a young age with young children. During her last five years, she enjoyed making new friends at Cedar Ridge Senior Community in West Bend and the Woodlands Senior Park in Fond du Lac. Above all else, she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.    Those left to cherish Janet’s memory include three children, Joann (Denny) Sabel of Fond du lac, Tom (Jeanne) Griep of Mayville, and Norman Griep of Watertown; brother, Ronald Dobberpuhl of Horicon; grandchildren, Julie (Jeff) Roehrig of Fond du Lac, Brian (Brandy) Sabel of Marinette, and Jessica (Gary) Boylen of Suamico; great-grandchildren, Emily and Megan Roehrig, Nick, Kayla, Riley and Lily Sabel, and Charlie and Jensen Boylen; and special niece, Sara Dobberpuhl of Howards Grove and god daughter, Nancy (Villwock) Leystra of Mayville.    Roger Lee Billington, 66, passed away on January 15, 2023, after a 1 ½ year battle with cancer surrounded by his family.   Roger was born on February 1, 1956, in Fond du Lac, to Earl and Eunice (Becker) Billington.   He joined the Army National Guard in 1974 for six years and graduated Mayville High School in 1975. He retired in May 2021 from Metalcraft, after years of working in different companies starting at Mayville Metal, Maysteel, and Gardner.   On November 29, 1980, Roger married the love of his life Carol J. (Schaefer) at St. Mary’s in Lomira. They were blessed with three beautiful daughters, six grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.   Roger was involved in many activities throughout his years, including bowling teams for the Mayville Fire Department and The Knights of Columbus. He served 45 years as a member of the Mayville Fire Department, leaving as Captain of the Ladder truck, which he included taking his kids and grandkids on rides in the truck for parades, participating in water barrels fights, marching in parades, softball games, and serving millions of burgers. He served on DCERT for 10 years directing traffic and helping where needed. For 23 years, he served on the Road America’s Safety Crew as a crew member. Loved taking his daughters hunting and then going with his grandsons and brothers-in-law. He also loved ATVing, fishing, spending time with his family and watching his grandsons play football, baseball, and basketball. Roger and Carol also helped supervise BINGO at St. Mary’s church.   Roger will now be watching over his wife, Carol, of 42 years; his three daughters, Krystle (Matthew) Eilbes of LeRoy, Jennifer (Joseph) Franz of Horicon, and Rebecca (Justin Beal) Billington of Reeseville; his six grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, Hunter and Parker Eilbes; Bryce, Pierce, and Wyatt Franz; Callie Beal; Drake, Alexis, and Bailey, along with a brother, three sisters, 15 sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Roger was preceded in death by both his parents; both mother and father-in-law; a brother; three brothers-in-law; and a sister-in-law.   A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 12 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at noon at the church. A continued celebration of Roger’s life will be held at the Mayville American Legion Post #69 following the church service.   The family would like to thank the Aurora VNA Hospice, Mayville Fire Department and EMS for providing meals, and all the family and friends that helped and supported Roger and his family through his battle.   In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor Roger’s name by sending donations to Baggin’ for a Cure (National Exchange Bank) as they supported Roger and his family through his battle.   Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family. www.KoepsellFH.com
