Kunstmann (Beyer), 81, of Lomira passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Hope Health and Rehabilitation in Lomira. Joan was born the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Murphy) Beyer on April 29, 1939, in Milwaukee. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Kunstmann on February 7, 1959, at St. Albert Parish in Milwaukee. Joan spent a lot of her life doing what she loved by taking care and grooming dogs. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy. In her spare time, Joan enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and taking care of her garden and flowers. Joan is survived by her loving husband, Ken of Lomira; her children, Tracy (Kelli) Kunstmann of Waukesha, Randy (Diane) Kunstmann of Brookfield, Christopher (Tracy) Kunstmann of Fredonia, and Kathryn (Craig) Vetter of Mayville; her grandchildren, Toni (John) Genske, Tyler (Karen) Kunstmann, Samantha Kunstmann, Abby Kunstmann, Jason Kunstmann, and Anna Kunstmann, Zack Vetter, Sydney Vetter, Delaney Vetter, Zane Vetter; her great-grandchildren, Jack and Maya. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Smith. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. Heaven gained a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and fisherman. Norman Feucht, 96, of Mayville, born the son of George and Theresa (Bauer) Feucht on June 22, 1924, passed away at St Francis Terrace July 7, 2020. After proudly serving on the Liberty Ships in the Pacific theater in WWII, he returned to Mayville where he met and married Florence Wild. They settled on Dayton Street where they lovingly raised their three daughters. Norman was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. Norm was a kind, humble man. He worked hard and treated those around him with respect. His greatest joy was his family. He was quick to laugh, and instilled that humor in the entire family. He was the original Mr. Fix It. There was nothing he couldn't repair (whether broken or not). He had the privilege of going on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. several years back and loved to share stories about that trip and his service in the Navy. He is survived by Florence, his wife of 70 years; daughter, Sharon (Dale) Fredrickson of New Berlin and their son, Scott (Erin) Fredrickson and his great-granddaughter, Remy Fredrickson; daughter, Diane Bauer (fiancé Bill Leindecker) and her son, TJ Steinbach; daughter, Debbie (Rick) Schultz and their children, Meghan (Ryan) Amundson and Holly Schultz. He is further survived by his sisters, Isabelle Guse, Margaret Feucht and brother Gilbert Feucht. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory; grandson, Mitchell Schultz; his parents, George and Agnes; brothers, August (Lorene), Alex (Vernice), and Albert (Agnes); brother-in-law, Ervin Guse; sister- in-law, Florence Feucht, his in-laws, Herbert and Matilda Wild, Edna and Arnold Oechsner, Irma and Joseph Jacquot. Richard L. Bayer, 85, of Juneau, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam with his son Mark and daughter-in-law Denise by his side. Richard was born the son of John and Lillian (Klink) Bayer on December 7, 1934, in Hartford. He served his country in the US Air Force and then married Dorothy Scholler in May of 1965. Rich lived in New Mexico for 18 years and returned to Wisconsin to retire. Richie played softball when he was younger. He loved taking long walks and chatting with folks along the way. “Muffy” always had funny stories and jokes to share. He was known as “Thumper” because he loved to tap his foot along to polka music. Richie also liked to play dice and dimes, especially with his family. He will be greatly missed by his two sons, Mark (Denise) Bayer of Fond du Lac and Donald Bayer of Grand Junction, CO; his significant other, Jeanie McDowell of Juneau and her family; and his sister-in-law, Clara Mae Bayer. Richie is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dorothy in 2009; son, Dave; brothers and sister, Gilbert, Russell (Shirley), and Doris (Dennis) Hefter. A memorial gathering is being planned for a later date. Rodger E. Wrucke, 86, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020, in Juneau. He was born on February 3, 1934, to Elmer and Leona (Beier) Wrucke. He graduated from Horicon High School. He was married to Eunice Bintzler from 1955 until her death in 1978. They raised their family on the family farm just west of Horicon, where they raised hogs and had a sweet corn stand for many years. Rodger was married to Janice Ronning from 1987 until her death in 2013. He farmed until his retirement in 2005. He was a lifelong member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon and served the church in many ways. He was also an avid fan of the Brewers and Packers. Rodger is survived by four children, Lori (Gregg) DuPuis of Oregon, WI, Daniel Wrucke of Horicon, Grace (John) Kiefer of Fond du Lac, and William (Kristine) Wrucke of Hartford; ten grandchildren, Sarah (Michael) Henke, Erin (Taylor) Rose, Kristen DuPuis, Tara (John) Gregurich, Jordon (Kayla) Wrucke, John (Emily) Kiefer, Kyle Kiefer, Benjamin Wrucke, David Wrucke and Michael Wrucke; and six great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother Charles (Patricia) Wrucke and his sister, Marianne Wrucke, and his dear friend, Judith Scott. Rodger was preceded in death by wives, Eunice and Janice; infant son, James; and grandson, Justin. A private family service was held on Tuesday, June 30, at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge Bernice C. “Gigi” Kaiser is at peace in the Lord’s hands at the age of 104 years, and sixmonths. She passed on Sunday, June 21, 2020, surrounded by loved ones. Reinhold Ludwig Puffe (1867 – 1954) and Caroline Appolonia Ludwig (1878 -1968) gave birth to an amazing girl, Bernice Caroline Puffe on December 17, 1915, in Euclid, MN. She was married to George L. Kaiser and together they farmed in the Iron Ridge area. Bernice and George had four beautiful children: Geraldine C. Ross (1932 – 2013), David L. Kaiser (1937 – 1956), Karen S. Trotter (1940 – 1991) and Shirley A. Werner (1945 - ). Bernice “Gigi” was a strong, intelligent, creative matriarch of the family. She enjoyed family, friends, and was always a lady. She created wonderful meals, holidays, a beautiful home, and many warm wool comforters and crocheted Afghans. She enjoyed playing sheepshead. They raised prime beef. Gigi was a member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Iron Ridge Senior Center. Melvin (Mel) L. Drinkwine, 84, of Mayville, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Mel was born to Melvin K. and Lillian (Koziol) Drinkwine on August 18, 1935, in Waukegan, IL. He graduated from Drake University, received his Master’s degree in accounting from Northwestern and was a Certified Public Accountant. Mel honorably served his country as a Captain in the US Air Force. On April 28, 1962 in Waukegan, he was united in marriage to Norma E. Pietschman. He retired from TAB Products in Mayville as the plant manager. Mel served on the board of directors for M & I Bank in Mayville for many years. He also served his community as a member of the Mayville Lions Club and also helped the area youth in the Cub Scouts as well as the Mayville Babe Ruth Baseball League. Throughout his life he remained a loyal Chicago Cubs fan. Mel was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville. When he found time, he would enjoy a round of golf with friends and family at the Mayville Golf Club. Mel is survived by his wife of 58 years, Norma of Mayville; his three sons, Dan (special friend Jaqueline) of Slinger, Jim of Mayville, and Steve (Carrie) of Delafield; his grandchildren Devin, Maxwell, Drew, Brayden, Tate, Lillian, Jacob, Grace and his great-granddaughter, Rhea; sisters, Jackie Hochenauer of Geneva, IL, Ruth Ellen (Don) Falstad of North Carolina, and Mary Lynn (Lenny) Greener of Beach Park, IL; sisters- in-law Pamela Drinkwine of Geneva, IL, and Marilyn (John) Atherton of Hot Springs, AR. In addition, he is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert and Richard Drinkwine. Gritt, 77, of Horicon, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at her home in Horicon. To know Janet is to know strength. Her selfless, sassy, and stubborn ways came to life in how she worked tirelessly to take care of her family and friends - but not without a classic head shake or two. The simple joys were all she needed: a daily walk down to Kwik Trip, an afternoon of bingo and penny slots, flower shopping every Mother’s Day, or being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her life was full of love, and because of her our lives were full of love, too. Janet was born the daughter of Clarence and Nelda (Miller) Kuschel on June 3, 1943, in the village of Birnamwood. She was a graduate of Birnamwood High School and went on to receive her beautician’s license. Jan was united in marriage to Keith E. Gritt on February 23, 1963. With her husband Keith, Jan owned and operated Gritt’s Hairstylist and Barber for all their lives in Horicon. Jan cherished her clients and loved her town and was lovingly referred to by many area residents as ‘mom’. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon. When she found spare time, Jan enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and the time spent with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jan is survived by her children, Keith M. (Wendy) Gritt of Reedsburg, Kelly Kuhn of Beaver Dam, Wade (Heidi) Gritt of Arlington Heights, IL, Clint Gritt of Horicon, Heather Gritt of Fort Atkinson, Kristin Gritt of Nashville, TN, and Wyatt Gritt of Atlanta, GA; her siblings, Roy (Brenda) Kuschel of Birnamwood and Linda (Guy) Buetow of Arizona; her grandchildren, Nick (Mary), Beth, Zachary, Josh, Josh 'Porkchop', A.
