Honoring a Civil War Veteran ANNE TRAUTNER JOURNALIST For more than a century, Seth Porter Church has been buried at Gage Cemetery in the Town of Auburn. But until this year, there was no stone to mark his grave. Church, who had spent much of his life serving the United States, was born on Jan. 29, 1820, and died on Feb. 3, 1901. He was a veteran of three wars, having served in the United
