Donald J. Batzler, 87, of Campbellsport passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 21, 2022, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

He was born on January 16, 1935, in the Town of Wayne, the son of Adolph and Mary (nee Weninger) Batzler. On August 22, 1959, Don married Virginia G. Bingen at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Campbellsport.

Don truly loved his faith, wife, large family, his dog, Rover, who was his best buddy, farming with his son, driving his lawn mower and going to the family pond. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, working on repair projects in his shed, all animals, Western movies and his favorite store, Fleet Farm. He worked at Regal Ware for 40 years and passed his work ethic to his family.

Don is survived by his wife, Virginia; children, Kathy Batzler Dworak (Rick) of Oshkosh, Fred (Lois) Batzler of Campbellsport, Lori (Brent) Terry of South Carolina, Sherri (Jim) Hanrahan of Green Bay, Carrie (Tim) Rand of Oshkosh, and Jodi (Chris) Guido of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Alex (Jen) and Ashley (Ali) Dworak, Rick (Jackie), Justin (April), Anna and Kayla Batzler, Josh and Evan Hanrahan, Jacob and Katie Rand, Emily (Mike) Brueske and Haley and Taylor Guido; great-grandchildren, Rylan Dworak, Harper and Paisley Dworak, Emma and Donovan Batzler, June and Isla Batzler, and Jackson Brueske; other relatives and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Mary; grandson, Tyler Batzler; father and mother-in-law, George and Regina Bingen; brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Leona Batzler; and his beloved dog, Nicky.

Visitation will be Friday, December 2, from 11 a.m. until time of Mass at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St., Campbellsport.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 2, at 1 p.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac.
