Laurie Torres
Laurie Torres, 69, of Horicon passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.
A funeral service for Laurie will take place at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Horicon at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, with the Rev. Fr. Mark Brandl presiding. Visitation will take place from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon at a later date.
Laurie was born the daughter of Larry and Sharon (Sell) Strukell on December 29, 1955, in Hartford.
She was a graduate of Hartford High School.
Laurie was united in marriage to Eusebio ‘Chevo’ Torres, whom she loved unconditionally. Laurie had retired from Gleason Reel in Mayville.
In her spare time, Laurie loved animals, especially dogs. She was also known for her love of shopping… some may have even considered it an addiction! Laurie loved her family and cherished the time spent with them and made sure to capture as much as possible with her camera.
Laurie is survived by her husband, Chevo of Horicon; her mother, Sharon of Arizona; her children, Melissa Torres of Horicon and Lucas (Patricia) Torres of Bessemer, MI; her grandchildren, Brooklynn (Michael) Torres, Gracie Torres, and Brinley Torres; her sisters, Tonya (Curt) Kleppin and Kim (Dan) Neuman; her canine companions, Lily and Cody; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry, and her son, Travis.
Laurie gave the gift of life and was able to donate one of her organs which shows how big her heart truly was.
